Anyone know the standard time between Jeopardy taping and airing?

I have a friend who was just called up to tape in late October. Anyone know how soon afterwards we can expect that episode to air??

Celebrity Jeopardy - 04/28

It took a lot of effort to convince myself that this was the real show and not the SNL parody.

Celebrities for today were

Julie Bowen - "Ed"

Hal Sparks - The most annoying f**k I have ever seen. Who is this hole?

Some girl I've never seen or heard of. She may have something to do with "Trading Spaces", because she reacted favorably when that category popped up. Of course, the clues had nothing to do with the show.

As always on CJ, the clues were junior high level at best.
Here's an example: They showed a picture of Albert freakin Einstein and said, "Who's this?" I sh*t you not.

Julie Bowen was in the lead at the end and got the correct question, but she didn't bet enough and came in second. -ohbfrank-

He hosted Talk Soup for a while and was on the Showtime show Queer as Folk.

UWSarge 04-29-03 07:21 AM

Paige Davis, host of Trading Spaces, was the third contestant

Groucho 04-29-03 07:27 AM

I'll take "The Rapists" for 100, Alex.

mverleg1 04-29-03 10:45 AM

I'll take "The Penis Mightier" for 200 Alex.

Saber!

MrX 04-29-03 03:53 PM

Today's players are:
Wayne Brady
Vivica Fox
Ashton Kutcher

Fox could play herself on the SNL skit. She's not to bright.

I wouldn't really comment considering you're not looking "too" bright. :p

Tonight, 5/1:

Chris Matthews (the dude from Hardball?)
Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls!)
some bald guy (don't ask.)

Chris Matthews keeps freezing, and the bald guy isn't doing so hot. We need some SNL skits here!

mikehunt 05-01-03 09:35 PM

last night was decent, nice seeing linda park

mikehunt 05-01-03 09:35 PM

I thought Ashton Kutcher did pretty well, especially considering he plays idiots on tv and in movies

This website has lots of SNL Celebrity Jeopardy transcripts.

**WARNING** Not safe for work -- if you are in a cubicle your neighbors will wonder why you are laughing so hard, and possibly, wetting yourself. Enjoy!

I was surprised to read somewhere that Kushner was majoring in Quantum Mechanics before he quit college to pursue modeling and acting.

He plays Dr. Romano on ER. I think his name is Paul Crane (sp?).

mikehunt 05-02-03 03:28 PM

just watched last night's
although c.c. does stand for cubic centimeter, it is equivalent to a mL so romano wasn't that far off
but how could he miss the CIA answer

Jeopardy 10/17

Anyone happen to catch the episode?

I know the girl that was on. She was up against a 5 or 6 time winner that had over 100K in winnings.

Spoiler:
She was in second (losing by $2k) up till the end, bet nothing, didn't know the answer anyway. The lead guy missed and bet well over $2k, so she won about $10k.

It was filmed several months ago (Aug I think) and she wouldn't tell anyone if she won or not.

btlives 10-17-03 12:51 AM

Did you get any?

when did jeopardy allow people to win more than 5 times?
they said the guy she beat was a 6 time winner.

Since this season. Now there is no limit to how much a contestant can win.

Buck Turgidson 10-18-03 02:12 AM

She was a cutie. Long thick hair, very appealing.

asabase 10-18-03 09:23 AM

Did anyone catch her comments about people should be able to get by without driving?

The funny thing is, she finally got a car about a year ago. And about 2 months after that, she rear ended someone. rotfl

Jeopardy! "Super Tournament" Announced

http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=367959

LOS ANGELES Dec 29, 2004 — If winning more than $2.5 million wasn't enough, "Jeopardy!" whiz Ken Jennings will have a shot at winning an additional $2 million but the competition will be tougher this time around.

Producers of the game show announced Tuesday a "Super Tournament," which will pit Jennings in a final match against two survivors of a competition between nearly 150 past five-time winners.

Host Alex Trebek called the tournament the "quest for Ken."

"Ever since Ken started his amazing run, people have been speculating on how some of the past 'Jeopardy!' players would do against him," Trebek said in a statement. "We're answering that question."

Jennings, too, was anxious about the challenge.

"I can't wait to see who I'll be up against in the finals," he said.

Jennings earned $2,520,700 after a 74-game winning streak. He was beaten by California real estate agent Nancy Zerg.

The matches will begin airing in February or March, and the finals will air in May, said "Jeopardy!" publicist Jeff Ritter.

The third-place winner will receive $250,000 and the second-place winner, $500,000.

Chew 12-29-04 07:47 AM

I think it's far too early to be bringing Ken back.

dstrauss 12-29-04 08:02 AM

Well, it sounds like he's only going to be back for one game.

Third Baseman 12-29-04 08:23 AM

That sounds cool.

Red Dog 12-29-04 09:36 AM

I'd rather see Ken have to play through the field, rather than get a free ticket to the final.

DRG 12-29-04 10:09 AM

Yeah, but how would he fare against past winners of Celebrity Jeopardy??? Not very well, I'd imagine!

No kidding...those guys are geniuses. It's no wonder they have to segregate them from the regular players.

movieking 12-29-04 10:22 AM

If Ken did not make it to the finals, the ratings would definitely suffer though.

Bandoman 12-29-04 10:43 AM

We need more Ken! All Ken, all the time!

Charlie Goose 12-29-04 11:31 AM

I say he should be in the tournament from the beginning and if he wins, Alex Trebek fellates him on the air. "What is swallow, bitch?"

Josh H 12-29-04 11:47 AM

They should just give him his own spinoff show. Something like Win Ben Steins Money or Stump the Schwab were the contestants have to beat him in the final round.

Charlie Goose 12-30-04 08:19 AM

On a unrelated Jeopardy note, the other day I saw the guy who was leading lose the game because he didn't bet enough (usually $1 more than double the person in 2nd place) in FJ. He got the question right too. Dope.

Joeboo835 12-31-04 04:03 PM

If the tournament is music trivia, mark mcgrath will own ken.
