Next to Flash this is easily my favorite show on TV. The cast and chemistry are great. The stories are fun and fresh. Plus its usually just fun and brightens my day.

Re: Forever (ABC) -- Series Thread

Still really enjoying this show. ^Agree about the chemistry of the cast. Henry's M.E. assistant has grown on me--he's been pretty funny these last couple of eps. Hopefully this gets renewed, but it's looking iffy.

I find the female lead distractingly beautiful. Sometimes I just want to pause my DVR and stare at her face.

Still love this show.

The last ep about the fate of his wife was great stuff.

I think Forever is SO good that ABC really needs to think of giving it another year to develop an audience. It got decent ratings until it was widely reported to be cancelled and then people stopped watching though the Plus 3 ratings are consistently excellent. Really a terrific show, with fantastic chemistry and an interesting mythology.

It is not a so so show with mediocre ratings, it is in my view the best new show of the year.

I really enjoy it too. Which means it's probably as good as dead.

Re: Forever (ABC) -- Series Thread

Bump

FYI, tonight is the season and possibly series finale for those who care. This is very unlikely to come back for a 2nd season unfortunately.

SEASON FINALE

HENRY IS OUT FOR ADAM'S BLOOD THIS TIME AS A DANGEROUS GAME OF CAT AND MOUSE EXPLODES BETWEEN THE TWO IMMORTALS, ON ABC'S "FOREVER"

Will Jo Finally Learn Henry's Secret?

John Noble ("Sleepy Hollow," "Fringe") Guest Stars as Museum Curator Aubrey Griffin

"The Last Death of Henry Morgan" - Henry and Adam have been on a long, unrelenting collision course, which is about to come to a head - possibly bringing about one man's death - with only Jo standing in the way. Henry and Jo's murder investigation into a museum worker's death centers on a priceless missing ancient dagger, which not only ended the life of Julius Caesar, but also killed Adam the first time. Meanwhile, Adam knows that there is something that Henry fears more than death - that Jo might discover his mystery. The two men tangle in a tumultuous game-changing confrontation. But at long last, will Jo finally learn about Henry's secret? The Season Finale of "Forever" airs TUESDAY, MAY 5 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Forever" stars Ioan Gruffudd as Henry, Judd Hirsch as Abe, Alana De La Garza as Detective Jo Martinez, Lorraine Toussaint as Lt. Joanne Reece, Donnie Keshawarz as Detective Hanson and Joel David Moore as Lucas.

Guest starring are John Noble as Aubrey Griffin, Mackenzie Mauzy as Abigail Morgan, Burn Gorman as Adam, Mike Houston as Ken and Angel Desai as Diane Clark.

"The Last Death of Henry Morgan" is written by Matt Miller & Chris Fedak and directed by Brad Anderson.

Going to miss this show when it's (presumably) canceled. Always one of my first go-tos when I see it on the DVR.

Here's hoping it's either renewed or picked up by someone else.

Would fit well on USA.

According to TVLine.com after tonight's episode, Matt Miller pitched a 2nd season to ABC and he said it went well. But, whether the show comes back depends on ABC, scheduling and Pilots they have in production. Financially it probably doesn't make sense to bring back a low rated drama produced by a different studio. But, crazier things have happened.

Forever is indeed a fun procedural with some light serialized storytelling.

However, it got stuck in a difficult timeslot with shows it simply couldn't compete with (Person of Interest and Chicago Fire)

The show's popularity shouldn't be reflected by the number of people who had things to say in this thread, which was quite light. Procedurals are so hit and miss in popularity here.

I think it has a shot. It actually outperformed previous shows in it's timeslot and does well in Live +3 viewings.

If it does not come back, it ended on a really good note. Even if ABC turns it down it is of unusual quality so someone may want to continue it.

Tonight's episode was excellent. Few shows I have ever seen have had such good chemistry between all the characters. Really wish it comes back, shows this good should not be cancelled.

Good ending. I was afraid that they would go out with a cliffhanger.

So was I. I guess since cancellation has been expected, they could write an ending like that.

A shame if it gets axed.

Unfortunately it's official. Cancelled.

I have around 6-7 episodes left to finish. I'll still finish it off since it didn't end on a cliffhanger.

It doesn't end on a cliffhanger from all reports. The season can live self contained.

Bummer, I was really hoping for a miracle.

Watch them. It ends on a good note. There is closure, of a sort, to some of the ongoing story lines. There is a new development in the finale, but it's not really a cliffhanger.

Alana has been around for awhile and she is beautiful but she looked incredible on CSI:Miami.

Re: Forever (ABC) -- Series Thread

I was hoping ABC didn't cancel the show and give it a second season.

Too bad ABC didn't do a crossover episode with Castle and Forever.

Re: Forever (ABC) -- Series Thread

Too bad it's gone as I really enjoyed this. That said, the finale works as a series closer. I thought it was an excellent sendoff.
