History cancels Project Blue Book and Knightfall.

Neither show was watched by this forum, so I guess neither will be missed.

Darn, I really liked Project Blue Book. It had twice as many viewers as Knightfall -screwy-

I really enjoyed Blue Book. Sad to hear we won't get a 3rd season.

I watched Blue Book, but it was one of my bubble shows. If my DVR ever got full, I would have dumped it.

I watched Knightfall and it was ok. I liked season 1 better than season 2, so I won't really miss it.

I enjoyed Knightfall. Gave Project Blue Book a chance but it felt like a poor man's X-Files to me.

Darn, I really liked Treadstone. Not a good year for spy shows.

I didn't like it but surprised The Purge got canceled. Shows these days get renewed almost more on how well it does on streaming than broadcast.

The Purge was sort of a guilty pleasure show for me. I'm sorry it got canceled.

I'm with you. I sort of liked it. And while the movies focused more on the actual purge night, I liked the season 2 change that focused more on the time between purges. I was curious what direction they'd take a third season.

I tried it, just because I like Martin Freeman. But I couldn't make it past the first episode. It seemed to be an effective PSA for birth control.

ABC has renewed 13 more series for 2020-21, eight of them scripted, including freshmen Stumptown and mixed-ish.

The broadcast network has picked up American Housewife, black-ish, The Conners, The Goldbergs, A Million Little Things, mixed-ish, The Rookie, Stumptown; reality stalwarts The Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars and Shark Tank; as well as the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire revival and newsmagazine 20/20.

They join previously renewed flagship Grey’s Anatomy, which is in the middle of a two-season pickup, spinoff Station 19, The Good Doctor, American Idol, America’s Funniest Home Videos, as well as newly picked up scripted series Big Sky, from David E. Kelley, and Kari Lizer’s Call Your Mother and the recently ordered Supermarket Sweep reboot. This takes it to a total of 22 shows confirmed for the upcoming season.

Well that stinks that Schooled got killed.

I guess they can resolve anything they need to on Goldbergs.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Renewal and Cancellation News

At least they can bring Coach Mellor and the Tim Meadows character back to The Goldbergs. I guess it also means Lainey will be back, which doesn't add anything IMO.

Was hoping The Goldbergs would get canned too, since I'm too lazy to actually delete it from my DVR. Oh well, at least there should be more appearances from Natalie Alyn Lind shut up she's 20.

How would that work? Flash forward? Narration from the future Adam? I don't see anything like that happening unitl the series finale maybe.

I didn't even realize she went back to the Goldbergs after Gifted...

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Renewal and Cancellation News

Wow...since Covid prevents a lot of new shows from making it onto the air this fall all these cancellations mean I might actually have time to revisit series in Hulu and Netflix that I wanted to finish up on right around the time I would be prepping my dvr to record a bunch of new series and returning shows.

More time for streaming is the only silver lining here as I like some of the shows that ABC just purged. Also, all those lost jobs:(

Am I correct NBC hasn’t decided on shows yet, or did I totally miss their announcements?
