Seemingly out of the blue Directv has decided The CW shouldnt be included in their service where I live so. Guess I'll try to keep up on thier app. Probably not well though.

The app really is only good if you're sort of caught up. Last 5 episodes. Otherwise, if you wait until Netflix, you will have to wait until the week after the season ends (April or May) and you'll be months behind.

No really good option since you lost the channel.

^^
Yeah I just deleted any CW stuff off my dvr and will wait for it on Netflix.
Directv still hasn’t replied to my request at an explanation for removing the network.

Was on the fence about dropping Into the Badlands, but if it's ending in 8 episodes, I'll go ahead and finish it.

That's too bad about The Son, which was one of AMC's better scripted dramas.

Last Call with Carson Daly ending after 17 years: https://deadline.com/2019/02/last-ca...bc-1202555664/

It says he's stepping down because he has a lot of current projects keeping him busy along with his family.

The character on BBT for me is the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. I definitely wasn't the target audience for YS. lol

I would rather jam hot knitting needles in my eyes that watch that annoying little fuck for 22 minutes. I can't even watch the promos for that show. I change the channel for 30 seconds.

This is me, too. I can't stand the character as an adult or child.

All-American, In the Dark, The 100, Roswell New Mexico and The 100 all renewed by The CW. Aside from Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend ending, the CW did not cancel any shows this season.

This is totally unrelated, but don't expect 24 to be revived again anytime soon. Howard Gordon, who some of you know was 24's long-time head writer and showrunner, has left FOX for Sony Pictures.

I used to visit tvbythenumbers almost daily or even multiple times per day to keep up with ratings. I haven't been to that site in many many months. Just got annoyed by everyone there who thought they were some kind of TV Executive know it all.

Once streaming, DVR and overseas sales started playing a bigger part on renewals and things were less reliant on those old Nielsen ratings, I stopped caring.

I just checked there and it looks like traffic is down big time. Daily ratings posts used to get 700-1000+ posts per day. Now barely 200. The finals under 100 posts. I was starting to suspect this long ago, but no one gives a shit about Nielsen ratings anymore.

Not too surprising really.

Even back in the day, the cancelbear folks admitted outright that their methodology of Nielsen ratings was largely useless for judging cable tv shows. Today that includes shows exclusive to streaming services.

For network shows, over the years their methodology had more and more constraints added in such as: ratings being completely useless after season 4, ownership issues, etc ....

As far as I can figure out, their methodology only still works for network tv shows in their first or second seasons. Otherwise you mind as well just flip a coin in doing cancelation predictions.

Power's upcoming 15 episode 6th season is the last one.

I know most here aren't watching it, but it's still a pretty popular show. I managed to finish the 1st season about a year ago, but just never had the time to watch more. I will eventually get around to it.

Great show, but not a bad time to end it either. Curious about the spinoffs but I guess we won't know much about them for a while in case of spoilers.
