Gang Related was canceled. FOX considered bringing it back, but they only had a summer 2015 spot available and it wasn't worth it to them because of it's low ratings, too serialized and cost. It probably could have returned if it was a procedural.

They considered moving it out of California as well to cut costs.

I tried to like it, and watched the whole season, but I won't miss it, not like Longmire.

I love how all cancellations from Fox now come with "we tried to make things work...but X didn't happen!". Can't they just cancel a show because of poor ratings and let that be it? The same BS excuse with Almost Human and Enlisted.

I didn't think it would get renewed. They loaded that cast up with recognizable faces, which was too pricey for its performance. I'm not that upset it got canceled.

Dominion and Defiance were both renewed by Syfy

Since there are so many shows on, I'm keeping renewal news here and not making unnecessary bumps to old show threads.

The ABC summer soap Mistresses was renewed for a 3rd season.

Season 2 was kind of a mess and I hated the finale, but I do get enjoyment out of this show. At least Alyssa Milano's gut won't look like it's ready to explode. She was pregnant during the entire season 2 filming schedule.

Did I just hear that Milano is not returning to the 3rd season?

Yes, they are shooting season 3 in Vancouver and Alyssa won't move so she's leaving. She has 2 young children, so it's understandable.

The co-creator and showrunner of Franklin and Bash has left Sony, who produces the show, to go to FOX.

Looks like this current season is probably the last.

TNT killed it anyways with little promotion and moving the premiere date. Such a shame as I enjoy the heck out of this show.

??????

This is the most mind-bogglingly stupid network decision I've witnessed this decade. Satisfaction was a mess and had a terrible, terrible ending to its first season. While Rush wasn't the best show on television or anything, it had a very likable cast and I would have thought its mostly standalone episodes would have fit right in on USA's formulaic schedule.

This is the reason from that story:

Factoring in USA’s decision to renew Satisfaction was the size of the show’s L7 lifts: +74% adults 18-49, and +58% in total viewers. It’s penultimate episode hit L7 series highs with 2.43 million total viewers and 1.1 million adults 18-49, though Rush too hit series highs in both measures with its penultimate episode in L+SD. (While Rush had the edge in L+sd for that episode, Satisfaction came up on top in l7 with 1.094 million 18-49 viewers vs. 953,000.) On average, Satisfaction‘s DVR gains have been bigger, with USA seeing growth potential in a show it also owns, leading to its renewal decision. Marriage is a culturally relevant theme at the moment, with Satisfaction about to be joined by Showtime’s The Affair. HBO also explored the arena with its provocative pilot Open.

And USA owns Satisfaction since it's produced by Universal cable. Rush is a FOX produced show. I read that USA wants to greenlight more shows in house as opposed to outside studios.

That is almost definitely the real reason behind this decision making. Rush was the far better show but it is a business at the end of the day.

Deadline reports that Dallas was just cancelled by TNT.

Edited to add that I just noticed that this news was already posted in the Dallas thread.

Shocking news. Under the Dome and Extant both renewed. Actually not really, Amazon helps cover some of the production costs for both shows. I'm a little surprised about Extant though, it's ratings fell off big time towards the end.

Reckless was canceled, not that anyone here watched it.

Sorry to hear that. I liked Reckless better than UtD and Extant. I will probably cancel my season passes on the last two. I don't feel compelled to waste more time on them.

I got up to episode 7 or 8 of Extant, but never finished it. I don't have time to finish it right now, but will eventually since all the episodes are on Amazon Prime.

I've seen every episode of Under the Dome and it's probably one of the worst shows on TV. But it's a decent time killer for network TV in the summer. However, there is so much better programming in the summer, especially on cable, that I feel like I've wasted 26 hours of my life on it.

I'll agree, but disagree. UNDER THE DOME is one of the DUMBEST shows on TV, but damn, it's entertaining in a stupid kind of way.

Under The Dome will go down as the greatest program in television history. No one better say anything about my Dome.

How to get away with Murder and Black-ish got picked up for full seasons, however Murder's "full season" is 15 episodes.
