I think you are on to something Raul. My issue with Lost was just what you described ... It presented itself as an intelligent show. When you tell me you are going to be a thinking-man's show, you damn well better be. You can't be one only when you want to be.

There was a thread discussing the value of the British model of TV shows vs. the American model. Lost is a show which would have benefitted greatly from having shorter seasons less often in order to produce a better end-result.

I'm pretty sure JZ1276 was talking about downloading the video that the OP was about, not the entire series. It's amazing how quickly this thread turned into a whinefest about the finale and totally forgot about the main point of the original post.

I watched the first three episodes. I would argue the placement of one scene in the first episode but overall it's an interesting way to watch the show. If you were disappointed in the show, nothing here will change your opinion.

Are you talking about the scene towards the end with Locke,Sawyer, etc when Locke had his encounter with Jacks father when he told him to turn the donkey wheel?

I had a fun 12 hour plane ride yesterday .. I watched the first 10 of the Chronological ... it is interesting so far. It would be a crap way to watch the show to begin with, but as a rewatch, it is not a bad idea.

I actually disagree. Locke turning the wheel has to be after Ben turned the wheel in 2004. I would also say that the time flash where the well isn't built should also be placed earlier, sometime before the scene where we see the well being built by the MIB. I really think this is a mistake and I could go into further detail if you'd like.

I see they're still sticking to their bullshit story.

Exactly, I just finished watching this again (the chronologically lost version) and Christian made it real clear that what happened did happen.

I agree, it was about as clear as it could be.

The fact they weren't dead the whole time makes the ending even worse. That's kind of why a lot of people hated it (myself included).

It's pretty obvious they had no grand plan for the show, no matter how much the show was sold on the "answers being revealed" concept.

I need to go back and watch so I can identify when each character died... it'd be great if there was a list because I'm super foggy on those details. It's still my favorite series of all time -- much like a Stephen King novel, I took it for the journey, not the ending.

I just think we all guessed the purgatory thing so early on in Season 1 they just denied it for years...then did the purgatory thing ins Season 6. So, technically they weren't dead the whole time.

Well even if they did the purgatory thing in Season 1, they still wouldn't have been dead the entire time since those cross-cuts to purgatory occur after they've all lived out their lives and died. All the island crap occurs while they're on that silly island and alive.
