I never thought the throw would be hard for luke, since even without actual training the force would influence the throw
getting the torpedoes to turn downward into the exhaust vent without a weapons lock programming their guidance systems is the real difficult part
and although the logs may have had enough kinetic energy to destroy an AT-ST, how did the ewoks lift them into position? that's the real myth

I assume the ewoks didn't have to get the logs up into the tree, but cut some large branches that were already up there, and just held them in place with the ropes.
Again, I think that MB used logs that seemed way to large - or the trees on Endor were super huge.

A Star Wars episode with Sophia Bush? And no slave girl costume?
Never did think of the grappling hook swing that way, so that was nice.
As a kid, having a tauntaun "sleeping bag" that looked like that would have been awesome.

The truck with the cow catcher driving through those two rows of cars was awesome. The first pair of cars in particular went flying, even doing barrel rolls.
The rest of the show was kinda meh.

why the hell was grant wearing eye liner while testing if cars would run on moonshine?

If my memory serves me right he drove the car from the 90's. He was trying to be goth to represent that era. Grant even had his hairs spiked. Tory dressed retro to represent the 70's while Carrie dressed to represent today.

I agree. The cow catcher was cool - I can see that being part of monster truck shows.
The rocket launcher would have been good if they had the truck going faster down than 20MPH... like a car that was actually trying to get away or chasing after someone.

Wasn't a fan of the moonshine episode. There wasn't much meat to any of the myths.
The rocket launcher thing had potential but felt squandered. Speed of the truck was weak and shooting it right into the radiator was dumb. The Fast Five clip clearly showed it hitting the ground under the truck. I'm not sure if that would make a difference but they could have tried to replicate it closer.

The car stuff in this weeks episode was ok, and mostly predictable. The animal repellant was cool, particuarly how much the cayenne affected the bear, but not the snakes. Guess reptiles aren't affected by capsaicin like mammals are.
However, the most surprising part of the episode was the relative ease in which the bear opened the doors on the minivan. They're evolving

I'm wondering if that bear had been exposed to cars before. I'm guessing yes as it was clearly a tame bear
still pretty cool at how easily it opened the doors and climbed in

Yeah that bear was going after a single cookie wedged on in between the dashboard and windshield. I also think he was trained to open up doors.
I did feel bad for the bear when they poured the pepper all over EVERYTHING!! talk about going overboard. That bear went through the electric fence like it wasn't even there - he could have went berzerk at anytime and turned everyone into confetti.

Re: Mythbusters 2014 Season
Mythbusters, as always, has a cool concept and makes for an entertaining watch. But they've looooooooooong since run out of the type of myth that was so appealing, being ones you'd actually heard of or wondered about. Plus, personally, this show really lost me the second they decided breaking the myths up over an episode made a lick of damn sense. Seriously, I get why they did it, hoping to keep people watching an entire episode versus skipping everything but the 'main myth.'
But... well... I hope that made sense to them at the time. Stupid, stupid idea which really destroyed the show for me. Breaking up and staggering experiments, instead flipping back and forth between three over an hour? Stupidest. Decision. Ever. I'd never missed an episode since the show began, back when it was a couple of specials and then airing on Friday nights - since they instituted this change, I've probably watched two or three episodes total. i'm a huge SW fan, yet I've still got this episode unwatched on my DVR. I'm sure I'll get around to it, but the myth breaking-up really kills my enjoyment of, or even tolerance for, this show.

Re: Mythbusters 2014 Season
I think MB has longevity, and there are plenty of Myths to test... but the show has turned into let's pick a myth where we can blow stuff up every episode.
So if they were testing that a laptop computer can over heat, inevitably they would decide to 'spill' some flammable liquid on the laptop and manufacture a 'spark' or short circuit in an airtight room.. to get a big BOOM!
This is what I don't like, they don't need the over the top builds and mass destruction. The science is way more interesting.
In addition, it seems they are hell bent on 'busting' myths: example 'well in our test when we drove blindfolded, with one hand, and with 87 octane gas, our time came in at 5 seconds over our control test... so I would say this is plausible' (I would call confirmed)

I'd like to see see more interaction between the two groups or mix-n-match from time to time.

Yeah, I liked last night's gun myths--especially the curved barrel one. I didn't have much doubt the gun would fire in a vacuum.
