I always hoped they would bring her back. "Lou" was a really fun, quirky character who had genuine chemistry with Chuck.

Incidentally, I'm a teacher and one of my former students had a significant role in one episode of Chuck. I was watching and every time they showed her I was like, "She looks really familiar," until it finally dawned on me. I messaged her on facebook and she said it was a really fun show to work on.
Dude. Don't leave us hanging. Which one?

Re: Chuck

I binged "Chuck" over the spring and it played so much better for me than it did when it originally aired. I even liked the finale more, and I hated it when it first aired. Zachary Levi has teased a kickstarter "Chuck: The Movie" a few times, and even though I liked the finale better, I would still like a more satisfying conclusion.

Yvonne was on an episode of Louie this season, playing a free spirit Louie meets after a gig.

Re: Chuck

I watched Chuck a couple years back.

I remember it being good before Chuck became a spy. Became disinterested in the last few seasons.

I think it was in season 4. It's the episode where Chuck is going to evaluate some young CIA agents as candidates for the Intersect. The candidates were three guys and one woman (my former student). They wind up all trapped in Castle on lockdown when a small bomb goes off inside, and one of them is starting to kill the others off one by one, but we don't find out who is doing the killing until near the end. My student was the not-killer out of the two recruits left.

Re: Chuck

I really need to pick up the Blu-rays and give the entire show another watch. I've watched seasons 1 and 2 a few times (season 2 one of my all time favorites), but I need to give 3-5 another look. I don't recall loving the ending, although it had some nice parallels with the pilot. Hopefully I'd like it more on a second watch.

One reason things were always so iffy was looking cancellation. Season 3 was especially shakey because of that.

Re: Chuck

Yeah, facing cancellation every season and relying on Subway to fund the show put a crimp on the last few seasons.

Re: Chuck

I wouldn't mind hunting down a complete series set of this one. But honestly the ending still leaves me irked. Perhaps I can find a way to edit the season 4 finale into the series finale instead. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

Season 4, Episode 2:

and while she has done plenty of underwear shots, she has no nude scenes.

Speaking of Yvonne, her character reminded me of Melissa George form Alias, both are spies, blonde, attractive, and from Australia:

Speaking of Australia, any clips of Yvonne speaking in her natural voice, which I assume has an Australian accent?

She did one of those "funny joke" things for Esquire where speaks with her accent. Not that I'd know .

I don't often say this, but don't worry about the Blu-rays. Just get the DVD's if they are cheaper. I have the BR set, my son has the DVD's. Little visual upgrade if any. no extra features, just fewer discs.

Re: Chuck

Such a great show even with the aforementioned lackluster seasons and threat of cancellation every year. I haven't re-watched them but as time goes on the ending hasn't nearly bothered me as much as it first did.

The complete BD set was $67 at Amazon last week ($80 now), but I agree that of the TV shows I've seen on BD, Chuck is probably the least essential to have on that format.

Season 1 looked terrible on BD. I don't recall the others looking as bad though.

I really enjoyed Chuck, but like others, I wouldn't have minded a nicer ending.

I rented I Frankenstein expecting the worst because of Yvonne and because I liked some bits in the trailer. Turns out that expecting the worst and calling it a giant turd was not really doing it justice. I don't think she was quite as wasted as she was in Killer Elite but still a waste.

George was also the lead in the Cinemax series Hunted, which I liked and really need to finish watching. It only lasted one season, but there have been rumors about a spinoff or follow-up miniseries. I'd love to see Yvonne as a lead in that kind of edgy action-spy show.

I know you watch every TV show known to man, so I'm sure you were aware I was referring to a show like Hunted in which George was THE lead.

Re: Chuck

Well, I finally finished Chuck.

Seasons 1 and 2 were great, 3 was OK (Shaw), 4 and 5 were almost painful to watch. The Series Finale was a pretty good finale, I liked Jeffster's appearance again. I would give the finale a solid "OK".

Oh well, on to something else. I am currently watching Friends (plan to finish this year), will probably watch the original Twin Peaks and maybe something else, some more seasons of 24? (I only watched the first season).

Re: Chuck

Chuck owned it in season 2. Every episode was superb. 4 and 5 weren't that bad but I wasn't happy with the finale at all. It made it seem like the bad guys won. After all he'd been through just didn't seem right. I was growing tired of Jeffster but will admit that the finale' with Jeffster and Morgan conducting had me rolling. One of the best scenes of the last season.

The season four finale would've been the perfect series finale imho.
