After I posted I started wondering if they could have been shared, but I definitely recall it was on Sesame Street.

Morf 04-17-06 01:41 PM

This segment was indeed on both Sesame Street and Electric Company, in addition to several other similar "inbetween" segments. It wasn't exclusive to either.

I remember it on the Electric Company, I never watched Sesame Street.

But as I said, Electric Company was a showing about learning to read. This is clearly a piece about counting ... which would be covered by Sesame Street. (Just like 3-2-1 Contact was produced by the same group -CTW- that made those two programs but was exclusively about SCIENCE).

Saying you "never watched Sesame Street" and only the Electric Company is hard to believe. I'd say the same thing as I never consciously WATCHED Sesame Street either. But I obviously did. During the summer when it was too hot to be outside, there used to be no other daytime TV to watch except soaps or PBS. Faced with the choice between Guiding Light and HodgePodge Lodge, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood or Sesame Street, I'd have PBS on.

There was a letter from Walt Kraemer, the composer of the "Pinball Number Count," over at the Helium 3 blog detailing all you ever wanted to know about that particular piece of Sesame Street animation. Looks like archive.org is the only way to read it now.

While it seems like a pretty funny idea, I'm sure we'll get yet more visual gags involving Peter's naked body.

Lateralus 04-23-06 12:41 PM

Who's Carter?

Erotic novel? This could be a great way especially if it stars Peter and not Meg.

Those silly manatees.

Slayer2005 04-23-06 06:47 PM

It seems this will air tomorrow, thanks to Nascar.

Seriously, how many times can people watch cars go in a circle and it doesn't even involve The Griswolds?

Up at the top of their site, it thinks today is Saturday for whatever reason.

I wish is still was.

Slightly above average episode! I had to have laughed out loud probably 10-12 times. Especially with the glass stuck in Stewie's head. Uh-oh! Uh-oh!
:)

resinrats 04-23-06 08:45 PM

The Dawson Creek song was funny but the part in bed was disturbing

MrX 04-23-06 08:59 PM

Stewie going face first into the glass and Carter knocking Meg out after selling her pot had me rotfl

Also liked the car coming through the Kool-Aid man's wall.

edytwinky 04-23-06 10:22 PM

Decent episode, nothing too special.

Loved seeing Kool-Aid man's return to the show.

skatefan20 04-23-06 11:48 PM

Okay episode. Loving the Simpsons more lately. I'm getting slightly tired with all the cutaway references on FG, but I felt they toned it down tonite.

The digs at Julia Roberts and the scrunch-faced Renee Zellweger had me LOL!! rotfl

Chew 04-24-06 06:15 AM

The 2 part South Park episode has ruined FG for me. :(

I only had a few smirks during this one.
