It was an alright episode, nothing I found to be hilarious. The doctor gag seemed oddly familiar, I don't know if they had already done it in FG or in Simpsons.

When George Sr. escaped in the first season finale, the doctor said, "I'm sorry ... we've lost him." The family asked to see him, and he said, "there's really not much to see" and other just wholly seemingly-inappropriate comments. The gag was repeated in another episode or two, as well. |
nothing about tara reid's nipple? that was freakin' great.
|
It made me smile a few times, but that's about it. Pretty weak episode overall.
|
It made me laugh couple of time especially Stewie impersonation of Billy Bob Thorton in Sling Blade and the cave men singing for the "Longest Time" but I found it weak overall.

I think that's one of the jokes that flew over anyone's head who hasn't seen the pictures. It was hilarious and very harsh too. She definitely had one of the worst boob jobs I've ever seen. I hope she sued. I loved Stewie doing the Sling Blade impression. The cucumber bit was great. The group of fat guys at the meeting was pretty funny (and sad.). The guys making fun of Joe was funny. Other funny things in the episode: Peter has his own gravitational pull Peter in Stewie's onesy The Price is Right bit. Peter in denial about being fat. Anytime Peter acts like something painfully obvious to everyone else is a new revelation to him it's hilarious. Stewie: "There's a half dead fat guy eating a dead fat guy......I guess we're going to look the other way on this one." The doctor saying they didn't like to use the word "insane", but instead prefer the term "Mentallly Hilarious.". |
Just caught this on Cartoon Network.
I don't really have "high standards" per se, and i'm not looking for every.single.episode to be a gut-busting laff riot, but this really wasn't that funny. Since I don't really watch the show that much anymore, i'll catch the random episode on CN [and don't even let me get started on the "search" feature here -- after checking "Family" and searching for threads started by LorenzoL, I found this by searching for Lois -ohbfrank-]. I know the whole "pop culture" reference thing is part of FG's schtick/charm and I have no problem with it...however, wtf was that completely random Back To the Future moment about? Usually Peter or someone would make a reference to something and then it'd flash to the PC reference. Did I miss something? Or was that a totally out of place "joke" in a not-that-funny episode? |
i have a friend who talks in the Stewie voice sometimes. he always does the bit asking people if they want soda. does anyone recall what episode this occurs in? thanks.

apparently, Fox is going to start producing web-only episodes of FG next year.
Fox I think it may be interesting but would it cut down on the total number of episodes per season? |
the song that Herbert goes into is fantastic. I've watched the episode a few times and it's still one of my favorite FG moments.

Family Guy - "The Father, the Son, and the Holy Fonz" - 12/18
"The Father, the Son and the Holy Fonz"
Spoiler:

Excellent. I didn't realize we get a new episode of Family Guy.
|
Hasn't that basic premise more or less already been an episode?

You know its still going to be much funnier then the simpsons...and im sure it will be much different from that other episode. |
Every Family Guy episode is the same, overwritten cliche dialog and years old pop culture references that no one cares about any more. More people watch it because it's popular than watch it because it's good.

Hopefully Fox want pre-empt for the State of the Union address.
