I didn't find this episode funny at all.

A-aron 04-10-06 04:44 AM

Peter tuning his guitar and having the "G" laugh had me rolling.

PJsig08 04-10-06 05:16 AM

Funny to see Petter and Lois stoned, but yeah, this was one of the worst episodes of Family Guy.

Morf 04-10-06 07:50 AM

Loved Stewie singing the Mr. Belvidere theme song, Adam West killing the Noid, and the Manimal reference.

The rest, not so much.

dadaluholla 04-10-06 07:55 AM

What was the Manimal reference?

That's what that was suppose to be? Too bad I don't have every theme song from the 80's memorized like the writers of Famiy Guy.

Handful of Peter

I guess I am one of the few that actually enjoyed this episode a ton. Although I can not watch it with my 2 year old, every time Brian was on, he just repeated "doggie, doggie, woof-woof, doggie". I have a conflict with Sopranos and DH so I have missed the last few episodes and forgot how great this show is.

:whofart: Both times he sang it, Stewie was bitching that he couldn't hear Mr. Belvidere over the talking. Even if you don't remember the song, the context clues gave it away.

Can someone explain Uncle Sam's giant nipples to me? I didn't understand that joke.

I didn't think it had any meaning other than getting to show Uncle Sam with giant nipples.
And it made me laugh.

IDrinkMolson 04-10-06 11:38 AM

I liked Stewie kissing Brian, and asking him if he wanted to do something later sometime.

Mr. Belvedere lyrics:

Streaks on the china,
never mattered before,
who cares.
When you dropped kicked your jacket
As you came through the door,
No one glared.
But sometimes things get turned around
And no one’s spared.
All hands look out below
There’s a change in the status quo.
Gonna need all the help that we can get.
According to our new arrival
Life is more than mere survival
We just might live the good life yet.

Aside from the Noid bit, I found the Kermit as Deep Throat-ish informant funny too.. but that's about it.

Chew 04-11-06 05:58 AM

Making fun of Kermit? -ohbfrank-

;)

I'm with ya, I thought it was hillarious.

My favorite part was Brian being called "the new Meg", and them putting her hat on him.

Hahaha...

"Shut up, MEG!!!"

IDrinkMolson 04-11-06 08:02 PM

Just noticed, Alex Borstein (voice of Lois) wrote this episode.

I really liked Brian driving past Cleaveland on the street too.

Question about tonight's Family Guy...

Peter starts "The Church of Fonzie", Stewie gets sick and must live in a plastic ball...at one point, Stewie ends up in a giant color-pencil-colored pinball machine, I remember it from my youth, but I cannot for the life of me place it. Any help?

Brooklyn 04-16-06 09:59 PM

Electric Company

milo bloom 04-16-06 10:18 PM

Nope, Sesame Street. One of my favorite animated musical bits from Sesame Street ever. Second would probably be Ladybug Picnic.

Yes, I'm 31 and I remember these songs. I guess you could say that's how good the songs were.

Brooklyn 04-16-06 10:31 PM

May have been on both then (weren't they by the same people?). I was never big into
Sesame Street as a child, but I was into The Electric Company. Remember that pinball
short well. I thought it was the best part of the FG episode.

You're mistaken. It was never on the Electric Company. It was about counting not reading. Electric Company was about reading exclusively. And I totally remember that song too.
