They wouldn't have prosecuted the Samaritan, and certainly wouldn't have left him in genpop like that. Fucking ridiculous.

Shot in NY. Takes place in NY. What the hell is Channel 10 news?? No such thing in NY.
Anyone notice Denis Leary's TV wife is Magnum's girlfriend?
Magnum's character needs to lighten up.

Most TV shows do fictional local channels. I know shows shot here in Southern California always use fictional TV channels for the media. Yeah Andrea Roth is a recurring character on this show.

Re: Blue Bloods -- "Priviledge" -- 10/08/10
Just got caught up with the last 2 episodes. Very solid well acted and directed drama. I think Selleck and Wahlberg have done a good job carrying the show and I think Moynahan and Estes are good supporting characters.
The lightly touched on the Blue Templar plot in these last 2 episodes and I'm very interested in seeing the direction of the plot. Jamie still hasn't committed to going undercover yet and I thought the reveal at this episode was interesting that Danny was also a member.
I don't blame Frank at all for breaking up with that reporter he was dating because she took advantage of their personal time to make a story. I do think Frank was naive to think he could date a high profile reporter as Commissioner of the NYPD without having conflict of interest.
^^ As far as Original Desmond's comment about the dinner discussions being grating, I don't think they are at all. I mean I think it's good to see a TV show with adult characters being able to have intelligent discussions. One of the things that makes this show a little more unique than your typical cop drama is it being also a family drama about the Reagans.
This, Hawaii Five-O and Nikita have been my favorite new dramas this season.

I think the acting in the show has been quite good but boy does each episode drag .....
This show is very slow paced and the hour seems to creep by. Not sure I will be sticking with it but will probably give it another episode or 2 and hope it picks up the pace a bit.

Honestly, I don't think it's slow. It's a character driven family drama with the Police aspect as the backdrop. The writers have done a good job developing the Reagan family and making them the forefront of the show, not the cases. I like the longterm arc with Jamie and the Blue Templar as well. I read the original showrunner, Ken Sanzel (who is a former Cop), quit because of creative differences with Selleck. Selleck wanted more character-driven & serialized plots and Sanzel wanted to make this just another NYPD Procedural. Selleck didn't need to sign on to just another cop show, he could do his Jesse Stone movies, once every year or 2 and still pay his bills. Obviously he saw some good longterm potential for this show.

Really like the cast a lot, liking this better than Detroit 187. Nice to see Uncle Junior again too.
Is this show going to make it?

10.29M viewers and 1.7 in demos.....for Friday night, that's excellent= Yes. I would expect a full season order in the next couple of weeks. It's been the #1 show on Friday nights since it premiered. If this was on any other night, the numbers would be higher.

I'm happy Hawaii Five-O got a full season just for the fact that O'Loughlin will finally have a TV show get past 16 episodes (Moonlight
, Three Rivers).
