Sunday night slow jams?

How is that even remotely a good investment? Syndicated radio shows can get cancelled, especially since radio stations change owners all the time. Plus, more and more people are downloading music and subscribing to premium radio like Sirius.

Hey DJ, how soon does DTV put up network shows on demand? My power went out right in the middle of H50 and this.

$1M for a 5% stake in a scanning app?? WTF?? $20M valuation for a company that has no business model. I'm glad they passed on it.

Yeah. I checked twice today already. Last week's for both are in there, but I wasn't sure when they load them.

Very wise decision for that family to go with Lori for their screen patch. The product needs a major overhaul in packaging and possibly design to be able to be presentable to stores. Lori is willing to put the work to get it out there. Mark's offer was more out of sympathy and honestly I don't think they would have benefitted from him. They lose more equity, but the chances of the product succeeding are better now.

That last one for the frozen veggie pops was awesome fun to see played out.

Didn't Lori and Robert offer 150 k (1/2 now and 1/2 for the husband to work full time) and the royalty for 20%? I assume Mark and Barbara offered 150k too but it sounded like the couple took 75k for 20%.

It was 75K combined I believe.

They were lucky that Barbara swooped in for the save. Mark was absolutely right, Robert had a GREAT offer and they just blew it off. It's pretty bad when a shark makes an offer, then changes it to a worse one because they know they can, but that's exactly what happened tonight. Robert always gets grumpy when he makes an offer and gets ignored, so I knew he was going to make them pay.

And man, the WRONG guy made that Rent-a-Goat pitch. The rancher was more awesome in ten seconds than the main guy's entire presentation.

Kevin: I can take this money and start my own Rent-a-Goat business.

Goat Shark: And you'll be out of business in three months and I'll buy all your stuff for half of what you paid for it.

Yeah, they didn't explicitly offer the other 75K and I'm sure the couple assumed that was part of the deal (and it probably was), but I was thinking that it might be something that'll come up in the post-deal "discovery", where a lot of the deals fall apart.

at the Bare Ease product. That Doctor is better off keeping her day job. No way is that a viable business and right now she can't devote her full attention to it.


Loved the Veggie Pop fight at the end. I liked how Barbara saw that Robert and Lori was ripping them off and decided to swoop in with Mark to get them to STFU. Between her and Mark, that's a really small investment. Hope it works for that couple.


Sad to see in that update that one of those brothers passed away. Good to see the product is doing well.

I don't think I've ever seen a couple of sharks invest in a product just because they thought someone else was being an unfair shark. I'm also surprised Robert and Lori didn't accept the bid without the royalty.

I've noticed on these episodes with Barbara and Lori that there seems to be little love between them. And when Barbara pulls stuff like that, there won't be. Great for the Veggie Pop lady though. Barbara's the perfect one for that product IMO.

Yeah, it seems Barbara has a problem with Lori. Whats up with that.

Really great episode tonight, and that's even with one of the worst products Shark Tank has ever had. Every segment was memorable, but I felt especially happy for the horror show woman, who went from dejected to shocked in about two seconds. Definitely one of the highlights of the season.

Completely useless product, and priced at $60. Buy a fucking toy elephant (or any other animal or trinket) for $5, and it does the same thing.

I agree. I was trying to think of a worse product. Even the fart candles from a few seasons ago had some novelty value. Though that motorcycle movie w/o a real trailer is in the running too.

Loved Kevin signing on with those slick loan sharks. Perfect business for him. That's a great legal way to get around usury laws.

Yeah, the elephant was beyond stupid. Like a couple can't just use some other random object they already have to serve the same purpose. I suppose Mark was right though: therapists might buy that shit for customers; if people are dumping thousands on therapy what's another 60 bucks?

The Haunted Hayride thing seemed promising; they might be able to replicate that in several cities. They're making stupid money for basically one month.

Yeah, it was perfect for Kevin. And he came off like a total dick, too, threatening them that if they didn't sell, he'd start up a competing business and run over them.

I don't know about the business, though. Seems a little dodgy, and didn't help that the two guys pitching it came off like extras from Goodfellas. Not exactly someone I'd want to loan money from, IYKWIM.

Also don't really know about the business model, either. If your business is in dire enough straits that you can't float a loan for an emergency expense, I'm not sure that a surrendering a good sized chunk of your income is going to beneficial. It just comes off of credit card transactions, right? Cash and check payments wouldn't be affected. But if a significant amount of your income is from credit card transactions, it sounds like it's going to hurt.
