That's AWESOME. I can't be sure, but I feel like watching both on the same night, regardless of order, makes Dexter seem that much worse (and it's already a not great final season).

Yeah, a few of us have learned to watch Breaking Bad after Dexter, otherwise the night ends on a down note. I check out The Newsroom last because of timing, which is closer to Dexter than to Breaking Bad.

Did Brock's mother die of a drug overdose?

I find it funny and ironic that Hank handed Walt a gun, presumably for the first time, and then laughed at him. Who is laughing now? I think Hank is in a way responsible for the man that Walt ultimately becomes. I know that people say you can't blame others for what becomes of you but I don't believe that to be entirely true.

This is one of the best Dexter seasons in a few years. How could you not be enjoying it? The pacing is stellar. Gonna be sad to see both BB and Dex leave my lexicon

How can anybody jump into this show without starting at the beginning?

i told her to buy a Blu-ray player and then she can borrow my seasons. she might eventually. i streamed the 1st ep. for her via Netflix and she was in awe.
i told her now she has to see where it all began...

I can't imagine jumping into Breaking Bad in Season 5A. Hell, if the series were canceled at the end of Season 4 it would have been a borderline satisfactory ending.

Does she have Netflix, or at least the ability to use streaming? If so she could blow through the seasons pretty quickly on Watch Instantly.

I don't really get why people say the show could have ended on season four's finale satisfactorily to be honest. I mean it was a good wrap up to the overall arc of seasons three and four but it's obvious the show wasn't ready to end there yet. To me if that had been the case it would have felt like we got a beginning and middle but no real end.
