True Blood -- "In the Evening" -- 7/28/13

Synopsis:

Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) makes a last-ditch effort to save an ailing Nora (Lucy Griffiths). A tragedy close to home forces Sam (Sam Trammell) to ignore Alcide's (Joe Manganiello) warning and return to Bon Temps. Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) shows her gratitude to James (Luke Grimes), a fellow incarcerated vamp, while an emboldened Sarah (Anna Camp) exacts a measure of revenge on Jason (Ryan Kwanten).

Written by Kate Barrow; directed by Scott Winant.

So happy I took my beta blockers today. Dueces!
Lavish and campy Lestat like Eric & Nora flashback
Nora's sad/funny/weird/gross death scene

The Bad

All werewolves
Sam
Sam & Nicole in the shower
Jessica using Jason's efforts to save her as a vampire booty call

I just came here to post "Stockholder Syndrome".

Agree with all your goods.

And the first two bads. The shower scene was good I think, but I asked my wife, did he already forgot about Luna?
And Jessica's scene was a "good" reminder of the no nudity scene for that actress.

Agree with all of your bads. My wife was like Jason just came back to save her ass, and she is going to take advantage of that by f**king a brand new vampire?

Although looks like Jason will be a new boy toy for a new bad ass vampire chick? Might make Jessica jealous?

Also the Sam & Nicole shower scene, Wasn't he just in love with Luna like 2 weeks ago?

Maybe he was taking "care of business" in the shower, and then she showed up, that's why he couldn't resist. Yeah.

It also seemed strange to me that nobody seems to care what happened to Niall after Warlow zapped him into another dimension. I hope we are still going to see him return this season since he was such an important figure in the books.

Then again at this point its almost like the writers are shitting all over poor Charlaine Harris by introducing elements of her storylines and then glossing over and trashing them.

Seeing how Harris' book series turned out, I am more than ok with that.

I hope Niall comes back. Hauer was clearly having a lot of fun with the role. However, I don't think Jason would necessarily remember him. It seems like Sookie should remember and care him, as well as the deaths of everyone at Club Fae. Of course, when she is in danger whore mode, she doesn't really remember a lot of things.

3 Episodes left.

It's not like Andy cares that much. They were only alive for...a few days?

Seems they started doing it this season, but every single episode title is tied to the end song used during credits, to either have it as the name of the song, or lyrics in the song.

They did it with at least one episode last year, Somebody That I Used to Knoe (the Elliott Smith version, not the ****** one).

Yeah, I knew the episode titles coincide with the end credit song, I just don't remember them using a mainstream song before.

just getting caught up on the last few episodes of this season and that last scene with Eric and Nora could be my all time favorite of the whole series. Wow.
