I'm glad they went the t.v. route instead of big screen theater release. After that last DIE HARD movie I think the terrorist movie genre has run out of ideas.

Today is the 12th anniversary of "24" - November 6, 2001
I remember watching the pilot, and thought it was ok. Glad I stuck with the show. About eight million people watched the premiere.

Jack Bauer’s big day is getting a little more interesting: Fox has filled a role for an infamous hacker character in its much-anticipated 24 reboot Live Another Day.
The character is called Adrian, and he’s described as a charismatic hacker and a leader of the free information movement. The part naturally brings to mind Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Veteran feature film actor Michael Wincott (The Count of Monte Cristo, Alien: Resurrection) has been cast. This marks the first confirmed new casting for Live Another Day apart from the returning characters.
Live Another Day will film in London for a U.K.-set adventure, with original series stars Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver and William Devane are all on board, with Howard Gordon back to executive produce and Jon Cassar returning to executive produce and direct episodes. The 12-episode series will premiere in early summer.

I mean the show since it 1st started has always been about the fight against terrorism domestic and now international.
BTW, if you follow Jon Cassar's Twitter feed, he's already in the UK scouting locations. He's posted some photos.
They expect to start shooting in late January.

The Deadline article that was posted earlier about Judy Davis' character was incorrect. David Fury confirmed on Twitter that she's not a German arms dealer. She's actually the widow of a terrorist. The Deadline article has since been corrected.

I wonder with coming off of Homeland the tone of the new 24 will be more realistic and darker stories? Or just have a crossover with Carrie and make my Fan Fiction dream come true
