NBC picks up Ironside to series. Blair Underwood from LA Law is playing the title character.
I remember watching repeats of the old Raymond Burr series as a kid. Could be an interesting re-telling. I have to assume it will be a weekly crime procedural. sucks for Underwood to commit to a series where he has to sit down the entire time. |
Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
Chicago Fire spinoff ordered to series. It's going to deal with the Chicago PD, which is the show title as well.
The back door pilot is airing as the Chicago Fire season finale. Jon Seda, who is on Chicago Fire as a detective, will most likely move to the new series. |
Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
"Go On" won't. It has been cancelled by NBC.

Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
I haven't seen Chicago Fire yet, but given its Dick Wolf I hope Chicago PD isn't just another L&O incarnation.

Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
 NBC actually cancelled Rock Center with Brian Williams. A freaking news magazine show gets cancelled.
|
Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
I don't want to rub it in NBC's face but my suggestion to them 2 years ago called Stripperobics with Allison Williams would have gotten 5 times the amount of viewers of Rock Center.

Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
So I guess that means the Beverly Hills Cop TV reboot is dead.
Shawn Ryan tweeted about it recently and said Eddie Murphy was great in it. Sucks we won't be able to see it. |
Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
Hard to believe that Will Arnett is getting another show for the 3rd straight year. 4th if you count Arrested Development

Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
Robin Williams doing tv again? Interesting. Also love seeing Tony Shaloub back on tv.

Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
Deadline said there might be a chance BHC gets picked up later on. Not dead yet.

Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
Did Vegas get axed? That would be a shame since it's been much better since they put it out to pasture on Fridays.

CSI NY was cancelled today. No surprise there. It's been a dead man walking for the last 2 seasons.

Question, when the schedules for each network are officially announced next week, do we just want to put them here or put them in separate threads like years past?
I know a lot of posters here won't read certain threads unless it has a thread title that automatically attracts their interest. I bet a lot aren't reading this thread. |
Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
Golden Boy and Rules of Engagement also cancelled by CBS
I never got attached to Golden Boy. I only watched like 3 episodes. |
Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
Well I guess David Spade is back to giving blowies.

I know I know... he's really a hack now though...is my point. He doesn't have to do anything except show up in Sandler's latest bowel movement.

Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD officially picked up today. ABC publicity just tweeted.
I wonder if ABC had the balls to put this on the dreaded Thursday at 8pm timeslot. |
