Apparently there are 2 drama pilots still in contention at CBS.

Backstrom, a drama starring Rainn Wilson from The Office. The creator is Hart Hanson, who created Bones.

NCIS: Red, the third NCIS spinoff starring John Corbett, Kim Raver. The back door pilot aired as an episode of NCIS: LA.

Has Rainn Wilson done much outside of comedy before? I know he was on Six Feet Under for a while but that's about the only thing I can think of. It would be interesting to see him in something different possibly.

This could be interesting, although I really liked Hanson's Bones spin-off "The Finder," but unfortunately that one never found an audience.

Well, technically it is the second spin-off from NCIS, but if you count NCIS itself as a spin-off of JAG, then I guess you could call it the third ;).

Shawn Hatosy's Pilot called "Reckless" got picked up by CBS today. He's one of the supporting characters.

It's apparently a legal drama that take place in South Carolina.

NBC is announcing their fall schedule today. Revolution is being moved, as they're launching a new show in the Monday 10 PM slot, and The Michael J. Fox Show will be on Thursdays.

Full Schedule goes up at 2:15 Pacific.

Also, Seth Meyers from SNL is taking over for Fallon on Late Night when Fallon moves to The Tonight Show.

That would seem to mean that SNL is getting a new head writer.

So Community gets stuck on the schedule whenever one of the other comedies is too shitty to keep airing? I'm actually cool with that as long as they stop doing holiday episodes.

They thought they were launching in the Fall last year. At least right now they know it's not planned.

They haven't shot an episode yet, so at least they can plan around a midseason launch without the Holiday episodes. I recall they were supposed to launch Friday nights in October last Fall until they got pulled.

Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013

I don't totally blame them for what happened this year, but by the same token when a show isn't on the schedule for premiere week the writers probably should know that the scheduling is very much subject to change. I also think they felt pressure to do holiday episodes really well since that was a Harmon specialty. I'm just expressing I hope they just stay away from them (or a nice way of doing one would be to make it a Greendale-specific holiday like Human Day).

:( Body of Proof cancelled. I'm sad about this one. Not often you see a show with 2 smoking hot middle aged ladies as the leads. The cases were interesting too.

 Not surprised, but I hope Dana Delany gets another series.

I remember people in this thread were wondering about the John Mulaney show. Fox (instead of NBC, where it was developed) has picked it up: http://variety.com/2013/tv/news/fox-...es-1200688554/
