Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013

It's still a possibility. This is the week the head honchos go over all the pilots and decide what stays and what goes. Mulaney and Craig Robinson's show are both tbd.

Other NBC Pilots:

Blacklist
Ironside
Believe
I Am Victor
After Hours
Welcome To The Family
Assistance
Undateable
Craig Robinson
Mulaney
Padnick
Chicago Fire Spinoff

This is why there has been no announcement yet on Go On, Community or New Normal.

Unrelated: Randy Jackson is leaving American Idol

Yes. I'm happy TCD was renewed.

If it's Community or Mulaney, I'm firmly in the Mulaney camp. I want to see what that looks like.

James Hibberd of EW.com tweeted that it hasn't been greenlit yet. However, it's more than likely getting an order.

They said the announcement is expected tomorrow. I saw a Tweet that the 1st promo will air during the season finale of Once Upon a Time.

A Chicago Fire Spinoff already? Man, Dick Wolf isn't wasting any time. Let's see, he has so many possibilities:

LA Fire
NY Fire
Boston Fire

Or does he go the other route and keep it in Chicago:

Chicago Fire: Special Fires Unit
Chicago Fire: Arsonist Intent
Chicago Fire: Trial By Fire

Hell, why doesn't he just go and do the next logical step: Law And Order AND Fire!

Eh. You knew it would eventually happen, but I wouldn't have been shocked to see it get passed over a bit and retooled.

Question, when the schedules for each network are officially announced next week, do we just want to put them here or put them in separate threads like years past?

I know a lot of posters here won't read certain threads unless it has a thread title that automatically attracts their interest. I bet a lot aren't reading this thread.

RichC2 05-09-13 09:32 PM

Re: Broadcast Upfronts 2013

Start a new thread, this is more a speculation/anticipation thread and I assume not a ton of people see "Broadcast Upfront" and think it's actually borderline important for our viewing entertainment.

Glad Beauty and the beast was renewed. Not the best but still pretty decent. Good about Nikita, too.

I like Beauty and the Beast too. It got significantly better as the weeks went by.

That's good especially since CM is one of the network's more successful shows (and going fairly strong after 8 seasons).

NBC picks up Ironside to series. Blair Underwood from LA Law is playing the title character.

I remember watching repeats of the old Raymond Burr series as a kid. Could be an interesting re-telling. I have to assume it will be a weekly crime procedural.

 sucks for Underwood to commit to a series where he has to sit down the entire time.

Raymond Burr to Blair Underwood. Now that's about as opposite as you can get.
