I wish they would have had several close ups of the odometer before and after the trip. And if they got gas, they should have shown that in real time. That would have made this episode so much better.

Rick: "We're eating his food now?"
Michonne: "The mat said 'welcome'" I much prefer talkative Michonne. |

They couldn't postpone this to after the Governor showdown though. Rick needed this to get his head out of his ass to be the leader his group needs him to be. Morgan's plight and downward spiral into madness is what happens to Rick if he keeps heading the direction he's going. I think this was a big ass wake up call for Rick. I'm betting we see more of the old Rick in the next episode.

Decent ep. Glad to see Morgan "alive".
Question for comic readers...do the readers ever get to see what's going on in other parts of the country or world? Does the comic have anyone from out of state tell what is happening where they are at? Last I remember the cdc Dr. Said the parts of Europe working on the disease eventually fell. .....or some shit like that. |

Re: The Walking Dead - "Clear" -- 03/03/2013
Could anyone tell what was under the "Welcome" mat outside of Morgan's door? I know Michonne stopped Rick from stepping on it; was it some kind of spikes?
Also, I think there was a lot of Old Rick in this episode, especially as he was leaning sideways, yelling at Morgan, and using his gun for emphasis. It seems like when Rick is in control of himself, his body movements are outward, but when he's losing his mind, he's much more tense, with his hands and his arms and his shoulders sloped inward; does that make sense? I could be off; I'll have to look for it next time. I'm also kind of interested in what is happening in other parts of the world, but I think we're suppose to assume that things have gone to hell everywhere. Seeing a place like Paris or Berlin overrun with walkers would be pretty cool, though, simply because of all the history in places like that, instead of a place in backwoods Georgia. |
Re: The Walking Dead - "Clear" -- 03/03/2013
It looked like blades under the welcome mat. If someone stepped in the mat, they would essentially be stepping on knives.

It looked like it was just a hole.

Re: The Walking Dead - "Clear" -- 03/03/2013
It was a another filler with a small gift to fans (Morgan showing up again) but actually did dig this episode a bit...thought a lot more would happen but it didn't but it was still good to hear what Morgan had to say....and the way we last see him is pretty depressing and creepy.
Definitely much better than last weeks shit episode. So is the finale next? |

Re: The Walking Dead - "Clear" -- 03/03/2013
I loved this episode - really highlighted the emotional / callous side of humanity.
- They drive by a stranded human being yelling for help, no connection or willingness to help. However, they are willing to risk their own lives for a picture and a piece of art. -Willing to kill a stranger so they can "maybe" find another gun, to use that gun to kill off others. Not to mention risking their lives to maybe find a gun, that they can use to kill other people, so they don't get killed by them. - Rick trying to bring Morgan back from the brink, and Morgan telling them that if the zombies don't kill them humans will (just like the hiker). One of my top episodes! It was like watching a play. |

11.3m viewers, a 5.7 18-49 ratings.
The Bible beat it in total viewers, but lost the 18 - 49 by a long shot. To note, that again outpaces all the broadcast in 18 - 49, the only one that ever gets close is The Big Bang Theory (which usually gets about a 5.6) |
