Really liked the episode. LIked how Rick needed Morgan to be able to come back from the cuckoo nest, because He could see himself being like Morgan one day, he needs to know he can come back from it.
Michonne can crack jokes and a smile, who knew? |

FYI, This episode was written by Scott Gimple, the new showrunner.
I have found that my enjoyment for this show has increased by leaps and bounds when I ignore all the nitpicky stuff that has many here up in arms. I am just rolling with it and am getting really entertained for an hour on Sunday night. Great episode. |

Yeah, they grabbed his backpack. I thought it was pretty damn funny. My wife however was mad that they didn't save him in the beginning.

I would say the show is in good hands then.

That is how many of us dealt with the show 24. Move on from not seeing Jack take a piss or eat something, and just roll with it.
Completely ignoring the gas issue and the fact they seemingly brought no gas with them, the logistics of this episode were REALLY bad. We have been led to believe that they are now a couple hundred miles or so away from the original town. Also, wasn't the main road completely jammed which led to them finding the farm in Season 2. I guess they could find a back route that was not miraculously unjammed, but they would have no way to know that. So we are to believe they took a roughly 400 mile road trip back to Ricks hometown without a clear path to get there, and no knowledge whatsoever on how many zombies or other dangers there were in the many months since they were last there. I mean that is pretty silly. The "runs" were always a little annoying but it was always within a few miles if not walking distance. But this one would have been backtracking ALL the progress they have made so far. DUMB. |

Yeah the wife thought the guy was important, because they focused on him. At least his back pack was!

You pulling numbers out of your ass like "They must be 400 miles away!" (When was this EVER stated?) is what's dumb here. |

I want a midget to leap out of that backpack when it's opened.

Also, I love Lennie James... but I guess I'm the only one who had a problem with his accent.

No, I want it to be the raincoat wearing, knife brandishing variety. :eyebrow:

Excellent episode. I'm going to have to stop watching the 'previously on' though. As soon as they showed Rick on the walkie-talkie, I knew we'd see Morgan.

Second episode in a row where a character uses a motorcycle helmet as a disguise. |
Re: The Walking Dead - "Clear" -- 03/03/2013
At least AMC was smart enough not to credit Lennie James in this episode. Alot of surprise special guest stars have been ruined by the opening credits.

I guess the question would be after the CDC went kablooie, would they have continued moving east or headed back into the woods where there would presumably be fewer zombies and more small towns? |
Re: The Walking Dead - "Clear" -- 03/03/2013
They have to be fairly far from Rick's home town, or he would have known about the prison.

I too am confused by geography. I thought Rick originally lived somewhere in northern Georgia. Then he headed south towards Atlanta, and when that didn't work out, the gang headed south again... towards Fort Benning, I guess? That's in the southwest part of the state, but Columbus. Woodbury is kind of on the way there, so it makes sense that they'd stop there.

There are two kinds of zombies, the dormant kind and the "roamers".

I was more bothered by the fact that Rick seems to have an endless supply of ammo for that gun, and the zombies in the cafe were dormant. I thought the zombies never stopped moving.
And Zombies are dormant if there's no food in sight. Kirkman's zombies anyway. Hence why there's a zombie sitting down in front of a fence when Rick kills his first zombie in Days Gone Bye, or why the zombies are sitting in the bus when Rick rides by them with his horse. There's also the zombies sitting in the pews of the church quietly in "What Lies Ahead." |

By the way, did anybody else noticed Bicycle Zombie on the stack of charred corpses?
