The people complaining about bookreaders are the pretentious ones? Not the bookreaders who like to keep not putting things in spoiler tags and act like their opinions worth more because they've read the books?

And what is Harrenhal I see referred to in this thread? Where they took the kids who were captured? Why did they take all of those kids? Those kids were supposed to be going to the Wall, correct? The crew that took them were Lannister people? So don't the Lannister crew respect the Wall? What info were they trying to get out of those people? Also, I don't know how you take Arya muttering some names and making it into a prayer.
You've really got to put away your smartphone/laptop/whatever you're playing with when you're watching this show and pay attention. It's not Two and a Half Men.

The "unknown guy" Stannis is talking to is his advisor/right-hand man Davos, who has been on this show since the Season 2 premiere. The Red Woman needed to go to the cave and needed an escort. The chick is not going to row her own boat!

Harrenhal is the ruined castle where Arya and co. have been taken as prisoners of the Lannister army, where they were to be tortured for information. Tywin finally arrived and wanted them used as a labour force instead. Nobody other than the Northeners respect The Wall, which has been stated repeatedly since this show began. Yoren told Arya last week that he said the name "Willem" over and over again (Willem killed his brother) as a prayer of sorts. Arya is honouring Yoren by doing the same for her enemies.

Let me guess, you read the books? Geez. You think I keep a notepad and furiously write down names and events for future reference? I keep most of it straight. How the fuck am I supposed to know Davos' name? It's not like they are repeating it over and over again. And the main part of the question still remains. First they are on horseback, then on a boat, then in a place with bars. No kidding the Red Woman needed an escort. Where are they? Am I supposed to know that too?

I'll admit, Stanis being on horseback one moment and on a ship the very next did kinda throw me for a loop as well.

I have a feeling one of the Baratheon brothers may bite the bullet before the season ends.

Good luck, non-bookreaders, I'm done trying to police these threads on your behalf. I've tried but it's just too much of a pain in the ass to convince others to not spoil things while I try to help fill in the gaps.

I suggest a) get a map and 2) use http://gameofthrones.wikia.com to learn about the characters and places in the show since it's not based on the books nor is it ahead of the show.

You're inferring a bit too much.

I just see it as people who fundamentally have a different opinion of what exactly a spoiler is around here. I never had the opinion that people are here pea-cocking because they read the book.

Here's a map that might help things:

http://www.towerofthehand.com/maps/w...-78.047&zoom=3

King's Landing is in a bay. At the north entrance of the bay is Dragonstone where Stannis lives. The lands south of Kings Landing are controlled by Storms End where Renly's huge army is. Stannis took a boat across the bay to somewhere near Storms End to meet up with his brother. It might be a day or two journey by boat. All of the preceding must be inferred or figured out using a map. Stannis was talking to Davos back on the boat. Davos was a smuggler before he was knighted (which might not have been completely clear) and Stannis asked him to smuggle Melisandre ashore. Knowing Davos' history and where they were located, we can assume that he's brought her ashore near some back entrance (known only to smugglers) to Storms End. Davos comments that they've closed it off, so the bars are at least new since he was last smuggling things in/out of Storms End.

He was talking to Davos Seaworth (the Onion Knight) who is his right hand man...Davos is the guy who is present for the burning of the idols on the beach, and him and his son negotiated with the black pirate to join Stannis's fleet...as they (rather unclearly) stated in the conversation on the boat, Davos was a smuggler who was caught by Stannis, Stannis chopped of the fingers of one of his hands, and then elevated him to a knight

The Lannister men killed Yoren, who was taking the men (kids) to the Wall. No Yoren, no trip to the Wall. They took them as prisoners.

Harrenhal is they castle where they took Arya. It was also the castle they gave to the City Watch commander when he betrayed Ned Stark and Cerci made him a Lord, and the castle Tyrion offered Baylish (Littlefinger) when he told him to get Jamie back (RELAX ALL!!! Everything I said was on the TV SHOW)

As we saw in previous episodes, NO ONE but the Northerners take the Wall seriously. Others just think they are a bunch of criminals guarding against monsters who do not exist.
Arya is saying a prayer because last week Yoren told her he could only sleep at night when he recited his brother's murderer's name, like a little prayer. She's doing the same thing. I dont actually call it a prayer, though. If you follow Yoren's story, Arya is actually reciting a list of the people she wants to kill.

The info they were trying to get has not been revealed by the show yet

Calm down (and a thank you from you would be appreciated instead of anger and cursing). The fact is that you come into these threads every week and ask very simple questions that could easily be answered by paying attention to the show. I admit it's not the easiest show on TV to follow but it's not exactly quantum mechanics either. You wondered last week who the "random" guy Renly was screwing when there was a lengthy chest shaving/blowjob scene between them a few episodes back and I don't know about you but a chest shaving/blowjob scene will stick out for me, even on HBO!

I've only read the first book. They have said Davos' name several times (even his full name last night) and even if you don't know his name, he's been in lots of scenes this season, usually with Stannis.

The horseback scene was on the coast (look at the water in the background!). The boat scene was obviously on the water. Third scene was in the cave just off the coast. You don't need to know where the cave is in relation to the rest of Westeros, although it's safe to guess it is somewhere in the vicinity of where the two brothers met. Presumably we'll find out next week (I didn't see the preview) what becomes of the Smoke Baby.

Funny, I thought you were one of the offenders, yet you saw yourself as a champion of the non-book readers.

Recent example:
It's The Mountain's men that's asking about this brotherhood and that's what Dondarrion is leading. The show just hasn't connected those two dots yet, but by now the books had.
Oh, OK, thanks for that.

Yeah, so you were paying attention. That's after I gave up. But you know that because I said it and you're paying attention.

Some of us appreciate it!

It seems that rather than a separate spoiler thread, we need a separate thread ONLY for people that haven't read the books, or will never mention anything that hasn't been shown yet. I know that is what this thread is supposed to be, but apparently there's some confusion...

and Spartacus too.

Hey, I just remembered that Robb attacked the Lannisters at night. I don't how it works in Westeros but isn't attacking at night considered dishonourable?

Maybe when he said HBO decided to go a different way, he meant they didn't wan't to change their shooting schedule to accommodate him?

Probably like cutting off the King's Hand's Head.
