I must have missed something, when did Dear Leader ever make an attempt to work with others? He's always said he wants it his way. He even scolded McCain, in public, that they had to do things as he said because he won the election. So I have to call Fail on that pic.
But, then I suppose this whole political debate belongs elsewhere.

Or, put another way, good fun humor usually some some basis in fact. Just like your Stark/Gore comparison.

One can say good fun humor or one can say it is an outright lie, that if spread during an election year, may influence someone to vote for arguably the worst President ever. That's how subtle insinuations start and before you know it someone's trying to re-write history that he was the most accomodating since Washington.

Haven't read all the posts in this thread, but I just wanted to chime in and state am a lifelong Republican who is now planning to vote for Obama because he's like Jon Snow. Thanks for the pic, musick!

The one issue I have with posting in here is sometimes I can't remember if I know something because it was in the book...or a throwaway line on the show or addressed in Season 1 (which I haven't rewatched yet). So questions get asked that I know the answer to, but I don't know how to respond.
And most of my reaction to the show is how much I'm enjoying seeing the book come to life. But they are definitely futzing with the timeline, so sometimes I'm not even sure I can react to something because I don't know if it will be explained further, etc.
Anyway, that's why I stay out of these for the most part.

I finally hit upon why Carice van Houten's Melisandre seemed so familiar -- she played a very similar role in the somewhat forgettable Sean Bean movie "Black Death." Same mannerisms and such just a different hair color.

That sounds familiar. Was that the one where knights went out in search of witches and ended up in a village in the middle of nowhere that wasn't as it seemed.. and that must have been one of Sean Bean's many film deaths lol...

At first I though Joffrey would settle in, quiet down, and watch the two whores get it on, but when he told one to hit the other, I was like, oh crap someone's getting hurt. Sick little bastard.
Why didn't Blondie want to show off the dragons? That was a nice speech though about what would happen once they're full grown.
What is the name of Tyrion's chief of the guards? They make a good duo.

Awesome line and I think it was also in the book.

I'm catching up on this show right now, and while I didn't have much to say about the first 3 episodes, this one had me burst out something:
Holy shit, the smoke monster from Lost came from that redhead's vagina!
