I was expecting balls-to-the-wall zombie action in this episode, but there was just a lot of talking and shit.

"It's a wonder you people have survived this long."
The writers must be reading these threads.
Norman Reedus did a helluva job selling his pain - I was cringing watching him try to get out of the river basin (hope he kept that arrow!). at his ear necklace.

Andrea sucks
I hope the Daryl stuff pays off for a future episode, given the amount of time spent on him. These episodes just inching a long slowly without much plot advancement is getting tedious.

There hasn't been any sort of confirmation that Merle is dead, right? Seems to be a TV rule that if someone is having visions of another person, that person is deceased.

At this rate we'll see The Governor arc in series 47. Lol.
I never remember Hershel being such a dick in the books.
PS: Every time I see Merle I think of Chocolate Pretzels.

This episode was fantastic. Frankly, I think that they're doing a good job with this arc around the farm.

Did anyone else have terrible audio during the first two segments of Talking Dead? Everything was echoing in my back speakers...sounded terrible. Seems to be fixed near the end of the show.

A portion of me wants to believe that this "mini-season" (before the season continues in February) will end:
However, based upon the fact there's still no signs of Sophia, that probably won't occur until the end of the season (if we're lucky).

Either that or Andrea just grazing his skull with a rifle from that far away were the most unbelievable things the show has ever attempted. Or how about the stupid note passing at dinner scene? Would an adult woman really do that today?

The barn scene
That zombie in the lower bottom left holding both hands open reaching for Glenn...Sophia? (I remember Hershel shaking his head slowly at Maggie like "don't say a word" when it was mentioned Carol should know the truth if Sophia had to be dealt with being bit).

I like Daryl's character, but it would've been a lot more powerful if the shot killed him. Would've driven home the situation they are in and given it an "anything can happen" feel that the show is lacking a bit.
I liked how they introduced the barn here. Prefer it to the comic actually. Looking forward to next week.

Uh oh, the nit-pickers are at it again.
Barn-full of zombies remaining a secret: They don't scream and moan all loud until they see something to eat. Hell, even the heard went by pretty discretely.
Grazing Daryl? Why not?
Note passing? Really? This is what you're complaining about?
I think I'll go watch Meet the Browns. The fact that I don't like it won't keep me from wasting my time on it!
