anyone else get the feeling at the end that the farm chick was going to kick Glen down to the walkers when he discovered their secret?

I always got the feeling from the pilot episode where Rick was talking to Shane in the police car that there was already something going on with Shane and Lori. It was Shanr's demeanor and tone. And, I question who really is the father to Carl.

One month is nothing (less than that probably as they already looked comfortable together the first time we see them). This makes Lori look extremely weak as a wife/mother. As mentioned, maybe her and Shane were fucking long before the zombie outbreak - which would make more sense.

Yet none of the other characters jumped into a relationship - and none of them even had a husband/wife (as far as I could tell) holding them back.

We've already gotten hints that Rick and Lori were having problems, and given the way Shane was asking about their problems I suspect he was at least carrying a torch.

Who would have the time for any kind of decent relationship while the world was being over-runned by zombies? I'd be too busy trying to survive and not getting eaten.

Yeah, I think it is safe to say that Shane had a crush on his buddy’s wife all along and was probably jealous of his situation.
But I also think it is completely plausible that Lori never thought twice about Shane before her husband was shot…but after, dealing with a husband in a coma that you have no control over, followed a Zombie apocalypse, where your entire life is turned upside down and everything and everyone you knew and loved are most likely gone and not coming back. Your husband dies, and the man who was there to comfort you in both traumatic events in your husband’s death (the shooting and then the eventual breaking of the news he was dead) is also the guy who is keeping you safe and guarding the life of you 9-10 years old kid…then the place you are going for safety gets napalmed while you watch. I think it would be completely reasonable to think she was vulnerable in this situation and numb…and was looking for something to just make her feel good or even feel anything....because after all, all any woman really needs, be it mother, senator, or nun is some really deep dicking.

Are they ever going to explain the origin of how this whole thing got started? I mean we're about half way through season 2... ditch the damn "let's find Sophia" storyline and get more into how the heck this all happened.

Just think of it like a Romero movie (only with a lame black character). At this point what would knowing do for them? Plus, it's not like there's a scientist in the group.

Most likely it's a barn with doors on both ends. Just lure the zombies to one end.

That would really blow my mind if they went in that direction. Lori getting together with Shane so quickly would make a lot more sense if he was Carl's real father.

Don't expect this unless Kirkman gets fired from his own show and the network crams something in there.

- Lori/Shane/Rick: Love triangle just waiting to happen. All they needed was an opportunity.
- Glenn: A shy, nerdy apparent virgin.
- Andrea: Busy taking care of her needy sister. Plus she gives me kind of a lesbian vibe.
- Dale: Older retiree. Getting laid not at the top of his list.
- T-Dog: Most likely candidate for some lovin'. Maybe with a name like T-Dog he's not much of a ladies' man.
- Daryl: He's a loner, a rebel. Does he seem like the romantic type?
- Merle: Years of being raped in prison probably has him confused and emotionally detached.
- Carol: Had an abusive, controlling husband until just recently. Maybe she can move on, let her hair grow out and put the moves on Daryl.

I also don't believe the scientist at the CDC told Rick Lori was pregnant (even though she is) ... I believe he told him he isn't Carl's father (along with 600 other possibilities).

Um ... there was. He blew the CDC up. I'd have thought he would have shed some light on the issue.
