I've seen this in syndication, and his daughter is an incredibly sweet looking piece of ass, but that is not enough to get me to watch this

If Last Man Standing can make a comeback what about this show starring a beloved American Icon

I agree. I'm a fan of the show and I'm happy to see it come back. But it kinda felt like a show that had already peaked and was winding down.

It started out as a man in a house full of girls. But over the years, two of the girls got married, and the third should be in college. I'm not sure where they go from there.

Hopefully this show can mix things up and feel fresh again. Roseanne has done a good job reinventing itself.

It's funny to see the outrage from a lot of people on Twitter about this show being brought back. They are upset at Fox for bringing back a show from a "Trump lover" while they canceled a "diverse and inclusive show" like Brooklyn 99. Some people actually want NBC to schedule B99 against LMS.

From what I’ve seen it’s more about an awful show being brought back and a good one that got cancelled.

Re: Last Man Standing (moving to FOX) S: Tim Allen -- Series Thread

Save for a few possible exceptions, the Baxter clan (and friends) will be present and accounted for when Last Man Standing resurfaces on Fox this fall. As previously reported, among the series regulars rejoining leading man Tim Allen (Mike) in Season 7 are Nancy Travis (as wife Vanessa), Amanda Fuller (eldest daughter Kristin), Jonathan Adams (Chuck), Christoph Sanders (Kyle) and Jordan Masterson (Ryan).

TVLine can also confirm that Hector Elizondo has formally closed a series-regular deal to reprise his role as Mike’s longtime business partner Ed.

That leaves Molly Ephraim and Kaitlyn Dever, who played daughters Mandy and Eve, as well as Flynn Morrison (Kristin’s son Boyd). According to a source, Ephraim and Dever are in talks to return on a recurring basis. As far as Morrison’s involvement goes, there is currently no deal in place for him to return.

Fox resurrected Last Man Standing in early May, nearly a year to the day after the show’s controversial cancellation at ABC. The phenomenal success of ABC’s Roseanne revival prompted 20th Century Fox to reassess Last Man‘s viability, and its sister network was the logical home.

“Last Man Standing ended too soon, and the outcry from the fans has been deafening,” Fox TV chairmen and CEOs Gary Newman and Dana Walden said last month. “We’ve wanted to put the show back together since its final taping a year ago, and Tim never gave up hope, either.”

Last Man will take back in its old ABC time slot, Fridays at 8/7c, when it kicks off its Fox run this fall.

Molly Ephraim(Mandy) isn't coming back for season 7 and Kaitlyn Dever(Eve) will be back on a recurring basis. Mandy's character is being recast and so is the kid who plays Boyd. Its good to hear Hector Elizondo will be back as a series regular.

It's too bad that Molly isn't returning.

Amazing how Tim Allen has had this long career without ever being funny one time in his life.

I don't like this at all. She was one of my favorites. Why isn't she coming back? They should just write her off and not recast her. Have her living in NYC or something. Who cares about the grandson. Anyone could play him. He wasn't on that much the last year or two any way. Pity about Kaitlyn Dever too only coming back once in a while.

I'll wait and see how it plays out. It could be a couple of reasons, maybe she couldn't come to an agreement on a contract or with Kaitlyn Dever she may be working on other projects. Its not the first time this has happened on a sitcom, two different Becky's on Roseanne.

Seems like you guys have forgotten that the first daughter in season one never returned and was recast.

I remember, I’m sure they can find another actress that looks similar to Molly Ephraim.

I have never watched the show until the other day when I caught a few minutes of a rerun from I believe season 4. All I can say is I hope with the move to FOX for the sake of the audience they do away with the awful shrieking laugh track. It put me off the show within the first 30 seconds. I couldn't tell you a word the characters uttered but I doubt I'll ever forget that screeching mechanical racket.

No, I remember her. She was "blah".

Agree, that's so annoying. They don't need it at all. It's funny on it's own. The recent "Roseanne" reboot did this too.

I think for a more traditional feeling sitcom like this a laugh track still works. I've never been one to get very bothered by them though as a lot of classic shows I watched growing up had them and I'm used to them.

It's a multi-cam network sitcom shot on a soundstage at the FOX studio lot. It's shot in the 80s and 90s style of sitcoms. If you hated those styles, this is definitely not for you.

Re: Last Man Standing (moving to FOX) S: Tim Allen -- Series Thread

New Mandy - “When the show was cancelled… [Molly Ephraim] got involved in some different things, so when [Last Man Standing] came back, she was not able to do it,” EP Matt Berry told reporters Thursday at the Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour. “It’s unfortunate. We love her deeply. She’s a big part of who we were. But [it’s] exciting for us to look around and see who we can get to play that character. We want someone to come in and not play Molly Ephraim. We want somebody to come in and play Mandy. We’ve seen a lot of great actresses.”

Same Eve - Kaitlyn Dever, who plays daughter Eve, will be back, but only on a recurring basis. “It’ll have been a year and a half passed in the Baxters’ lives between the last episode and the first episode, so Eve will be away at the Air Force Academy,” Abbott explained. “We’ll visit her sometimes there, and she’ll come visit us sometimes.”

New Boyd - Flynn Morrison, who played Tim Allen’s grandson Boyd, will not be back. As EP Kevin Abbott explains, “We’re going to have a new actor [playing Boyd] because we want to age up the character. We’re bringing him back at the age of 12, so we can do some fun storylines about a young man on the cusp of becoming a man.”

New Kid - Meanwhile, a brand new character is being added to the Baxters’ orbit. Vanessa and Mike take in a foreign exchange student from China. “We have, basically, a student from a different political system, who comes into [their lives],” Abbott explained, “And we get to have some wonderful discussions and conflicts.”

The actress's name is Molly McCook, I think she resembles Molly Ephraim fairly close.

With dark hair she would look a little like the old Mandy, of course the new actress is 8 inches taller.
