Cripes. I just checked it and was able to start recording now, but I missed the first 35 minutes. CBS really needs to do something about their Sunday nights. Happens all the time with the Amazing Race, too.

Can anyone fill me in on what Dani said directly after the last key was pulled out of the box? That's when my DVR cut off? I'm really interested in knowing why she chose those two for nomination.

She said, "I know everyone is probably like 'WTH is going on?' Two weeks ago, I nominated Brendon for eviction, you left the house, and clearly we're all right back where we started from. I need to make sure at the end of this week that what I need to happen, happens."

Of course, if she's keeping her word with Brachel, then this is just making everyone think there's no deal and she's planning to backdoor Brendon. She had a clip following where she said if the noms stay the same, she gets to keep her deal with Brachel, but if she wins, she could still choose to backdoor Brendon.

I think it was a good decision that makes up for her playing way too hard too fast. Without this decision she'd be out next week most likely. Now, she stands a good chance of staying while the others battle. But Jeff and Jordan are sure to figure out Danni and Brachel have a final 3 deal...right as they're losing their final 3 deal with Shelley. Should make some sparks fly...

Nothing infurates me like sitting down to watch a recording & hearing that fucking 60 minutes clock ticking. I don't know why CBS is the only network that does this.

Yes, it's a really fucking stupid way to run your network, putting first-run programming on directly following a live sporting event that's pretty much guaranteed to run over.

True, you can set your DVR to over-run, but that's kind of a pain in the ass because you never know how long it's going to run over, or even if it will.

In my case, if we're going out on Sunday night, then we have set the DVR to over-run by an hour or ninety minutes, then, since we're also recording True Blood and Next Food Network Star/Food Truck Race, I have to kill one of those shows and then record a later showing.

Jordan thinks some people have done nothing since day one and doesn't think they deserve to be in the house.

Man, you really hate my girl. I wish I could see the game through your eyes, but I have to think some of it is personal. You must not like her in general.

Josie was probably the best thing that I've seen on the show this season. She is a really smart little girl and Dino, she's a fan of Jeff and Jordan too.

edit to add: Rachel and Brendon are 2 of the least self-aware people that I've ever seen on reality television. Even on Rivals, the "villains" know they're villains. That speech by Brendon was hard to listen to.

Come on, now. You have to see that it's a bit funny coming from her of all people.

If next week is a double eviction, I guess that means the finale isn't too far away. Three weeks?

^^^ Chenbot said it at the end of Thursday's live CBS show: next week it's double eviction night.

The 90 min. live season finale of "Big Brother" (after the 90 min. season premiere of "Survivor") will be Wednesday, September 14th at 9:30PM: http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/ent...r-sept-14.html.

I think from Jordan's perspective she hasn't really floated. She has declared her allegiance and rode it out. That's not good game play for strong competition players or big personalities, but since she is obviously the weakest (and least annoying!) one in her initial alliance it will probably get her far in the game again.

You should write for a reality show blog, start your own or host your own podcast. You always articulate exactly what I'm thinking and do a better job of explaining it, often with only a few sentences, than I ever could. Not to mention your memory is incredible. I honestly don't remember what place Brendon and Rachel finished last season and I watched the whole thing. Oh, and even when I disagree with your opinion, you still make more sense than I do.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

The problem I have everyone bitching about "floaters" this season is that, due to the nature of this season (with the duos) is that you can't really form alliances with the three returning couples because they have a pre-existing relationship that extends outside of the house and anyone who teams up Brenchel, JeJo, or the Donatos will be the low person in the alliance.

The newbies either have to float or gang up. This would be even more pronounced if Dick had stuck around more than a week.

Wow, Porsche gives the worst diary room EVER. It's like her scripts are bad and her delivery is even worse.

Wow, they finally found a food Kalia cannot eat!

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

Is this going to be another eviction telegraphed by the outfits the nominees are wearing? Seems to be this way every week.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

Wow, so both sides (Veterans and 'Dani's side') took direct hits: Dani is gone (yay! ) and Big Jeff left right after her (boooo! ). Gotta give Kalia and Porsche their props. They sit around and do nothing 90% of the time, but when push comes to shove they got the job done. Shelly (who has totally flipped over to the other side and seems to have jumped ships midstream at just the right moment) is the only one who hasn't won anything, and Jordan is screaming/insulting Shelly worse than a drunk sailor (per the feeds immediately after double eviction). You know Jordan is mad when Rachel is the one reasonable person keeping her from punching/breaking stuff. So, best "BB" night this season, right?

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

So now the house is split right down the middle again, although Adam is a flip flopper so who knows with him, and Shelly proves to be a mega ****.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

^^^ A mega **** with great timing. If you're going to be exposed as the double-dealing backstabber floater player you are (which happened 30 min. before the live show, per tweets from the show's executive producer) there's no better time for this to happen than on the night Dani's herd has lost its leader and the boss of the alliance you're backstabbing the hardest has left the building. Both sides are now pretty balanced with a slight edge (in momentum and numbers) to the Dani side, while the Veterans have HOH/POV winning machine Rachel and... Jordan and Adam... OK, the Veterans are totally fucked now.

About Adam's loyalties,
Spoiler:
Kalia approached him right after the live show ended and offered him a chance to join the all-newbies side of the house again. Adam didn't respond and appears to be still loyal to the Veterans, for now. Might as well since he's low man on the totem pole of either side.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

Dani learned that it's not that easy to bend people to your will when the DR isn't threatening to expel them if they don't make sure that your wishes come true.

Honestly, I don't really like any of these people. Jeff was a bully so his leaving doesn't matter that much to me. I liked him more than Rachel so he has that I guess. Jordan is mostly a sweet girl, but her winning BB the first time was ridiculous, much less a second time.

Porsche is nitwit who's trying to get famous. They need to stop casting Janelle's friends. She's a lump. Don't care for Shelley at all. Haven't all year really. Don't care for Kahlia. Haven't all year really. Rachel is awful. Ughh. Adam is just floating along, but he doesn't really do anything.

I bet Porsche wins. BB deserves that winner.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

Sometimes you pick your battles where you have to. Floaters turn into gamers during the second half of the game. Kalia is a gamer, remember it was her and Dani vs. 10 at one time. Kalia had a disastrous HOH but she recovered and just knocked out the strongest player. When Jordan won, her and Jeff were goners until "America's power of veto" came up and Jeff removed Mr. Pectacular, Chima went nuts and the game changed. If someone was filming me 24/7 I am sure that they would see plenty that is not admirable.
