Big Brother 13 (CBS)

The new cast has been revealed, so I figured I might as well start a new thread. This is for the CBS show. There will be another thread for Showtime After Dark.

Starts July 7 (Thursday)

First interviews of some of the new cast.

Spoiler:
Adam

Cassi

The new twist:

Spoiler:
It's being called "Dynamic Duos" and involves players from past seasons. The reason there are only 8 new cast member interviews is because the remaining 6 players will consist of 3 pairs from past seasons. It will be 3 duos from this list:
Spoiler:
Brendon and Rachel
Will and Boogie
Jessie and Natalie
Dick and Daniele
Jeff and Jordan
Hayden and Enzo

Please vote for anyone but Jessie. As much as I couldn't stand Brendon and Rachel, I think it would be interesting to see them in there with Jeff and Jordan. For the third pair, I'd go with Dick and Daniele.

Regarding the twist,
Spoiler:
I saw where CBS has a poll up.
http://www.cbs.com/primetime/big_brother/twist/
I would like to see Evil Dick square off against Will/Boogie. The rest are kind of blah. If that Jessie makes it back, it may cause me not to watch. And, from the looks of the voting, I'm not the only one, as his duo is currently last in the voting with only 1% of the vote.

Re: The Twist

Spoiler:
Yeah, I'd like to see D&D vs Chilltown, and probably throw Brendon and Rachel in there. I know folks hate B&R, but Rachel is fucking nuts and makes good TV. Will and Boogie are in danger of being Big Brother's Boston Rob, but they're entertaining... just hope neither one of them makes it too far.

Hayden/Enzo are completely dull, and Jessie/Natalie are so repellent that their amusing sense of narcissism is neutralized. Jeff/Jordan are okay, but I don't see a lot of sparks coming from those, especially after their phoned-in Amazing Race performance.

I believe this is the most black people they've had on this show.

With maybe a couple of exceptions, this isn't the best looking cast. Surprising.

Regarding the twist: (Do we really need to spoiler the twist?)
Spoiler:
If there are 6 veteran players returning, won't the newbies come together and just use their 8 votes to vote off the 6 veterans? At least they should do that if they watched this past season of Survivor. Unless the returning players get some kind of immunity until the numbers are equal.

this being my first year w showtime (since theyve been doing the afterdark show) I take it alot of the stuff shown on the CBS show are edited down clips from the after dark show?

After Dark is live (11pm-2am CST every night), so it just depends what happens during that time as to whether or not it makes the CBS show.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

I was going to skip AFter dark this year, but if some of those pairings comeback I think I'll have to get showtime for the next few months. I really don't care to see Hayden and Enzo again, and I thought Mike and Boogie would have said no to this. They must really not want anyone to watch if they let Natalie back in the BB house again.

Jessie and Natalie are at 1%

To an extent, but there's a lot of stuff from AD that doesn't make it to the CBS show, and when you watch it unedited you often get a very different experience.

Last year it was pretty boring, but the year before last there were some pretty epic fights... Chima vs her microphone, Russell vs Chima, Russell vs everybody...

Would love to see Dr Will back but hell no to Boogie.

I was never a Jordan/Jeff fan but by default they are the most tolerable they are the only duo on that list where I dont hate at least 1 of the 2 people .

Depends on if they recruited people like last season of Survivor the 6 vets should have a cake walk. If they recruited people who will do anything to win or mactors who are pissed off the vets will steal there airtime this might be a battle.

Howie needs to come back. Some of the funniest stuff I saw in this series was when he reduced the blonde woman to tears as he walked around the house yelling about turning her dog into pepperoni; getting Julie Chen all worked up with his talk of "owning" a chick after he banged her; and converting the patio storage box into the "jack shack." lol

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

Should we all just give up hope of BB ever being in HD? From this article it sounds Mike and Will will not be back no matter what the voting ends up being.

Howie was fun to watch when he was going off on "The Friendship" (*gag*), but when he was on All-Stars he came off like a complete dick.

This article along with people saying frontrunners Jeff/Jordan dont want back in makes me think all these teams aredecoys.

If Hayden/Enzo or Natalie/Jessie are coming back why have a public vote to show how unpopular and unwanted they are.

I've only watched one of these seasons, and it was Janelle's first season. I'd tune back in if they brought her back.

Or at least 16x9. I aggravates me to an unreasonable degree that all the in-studio monitors show a widescreen picture (i.e when Julie talks to them), but the program itself is broadcast in blurry 4x3 like it's still 2003 or something.

What a stupid thing that CBS put up a vote with contestants who aren't interested in returning that doesn't even have any impact on who's coming back. If I have to see Jessie's stupid tiny head again on my TV, this show is dead to me.

Enough with the 'twists' and recycled contestants already. I just want to see a bunch of douchebags & a few hot chicks locked in a house that I can hate on until September.

I believe that Janelle is married now so I'm not sure if she would want to do the show again.

The producer says that the show isn't shot in HD because there's too much footage to store and HD creates capacity problems and expenses. Still, I'd think they could put HD cameras in a few key positions and up-convert the rest.
