The British version is going HD this year for the fist time ever.

I agree. Who cares who is there, because to bestow on these people some sort of admiration or celebrity status for having been on this show is laughable. They could change the entire cast daily for all I care, as long as they meet the requirements you mentioned. I don't even need to know their names to mock and abuse them.

They are cast to loiter in a glorified hotel suite for a couple months while there is literally nothing else to watch on TV. They have lives which they can disappear from for several months for something entirely frivolous without being missed. That's their big accomplishment. The slightest interesting thing they say or do is inflated beyond belief because of the vacuum they live in. If someone says something not entirely stupid they are a genius, if a chick is not hideous she is hot, if someone argues for five minutes they are an anti-social cretin.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

I think it's pretty stupid for this to still be in SD; they can't afford new HD equipment and switchboards? I guess it's not a surprise since they give the Houseguests expired food.

Nah, Brittney wasn't the hottest, it was distracting when her eyes would alternate between normal and wobbly.

This new girl is probably the hottest, only Janelle at her prime would overtake her.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

They've been trying their hardest to make Julie Chen look as human as possible. High definition would only ruin all of their efforts.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

They've actually showed Julie Chen in HD in some commercials for the new season and on Entertainment Tonight she was showing off the house in HD. It looked great...too bad we'll not be able to see it that way all season.

And I'm sure Julie didn't get all that plastic surgery for nothing...she'd probably be happy for the HD.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

Season 7 was the all stars of season 1-6. Season 13 is kind of like Survivor fans vs favorites. I don't know if this is happening or even planned, but I hope season 14 will be all stars for houseguests season 8-13. Given its same number of seasons past since the first all star show.

Doe anyone know what the CBS airdates are yet? Will they go back to Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday the way it should be?

Janelle at her prime. lol

When would that have been exactly?

I'm bummed about people returning. But I'm all about seeing Jeff back on the show. Hope he's one!

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

Looks like tomorrow's episode of "The Talk" will feature Julie Chen and her co-hosts competing in the "Big Brother" house, as well as feature interviews with Will and Mike "Boogie."

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

Read at another site with info supposedly coming from one connected w BB that the returning couples are
Spoiler:
Evil Dick and Danielle, Brendan and Rachel, and Jeff and Jordan.

I hope that's accurate, as I don't think I could stomach this show w Jessie coming back.

Guess we'll know tonight if that is accurate.

I also read a rumor that
Spoiler:
Dick
and
Spoiler:
Jeff
have already been evicted.

How is that possible?

They could have started the show with an extra person or two and evicted them on the first day. They did this on Big Brother UK before.

(spoiler isn't fact, just my thoughts, but it concerns what was brought up above. I know some people might not want to know anything about this, rumor or not.)

I don't like this at all. I'm not a fan of ED, but evicting two of BB's biggest stars before the show even begins? AG wouldn't let that happen, would she?

they came to blows. They always start Big Brother a few days before it airs; I could certainly see Dick getting in Jordan's face and Jeff letting him have it.

I'm trying not to think too much about the rumors, since we only have a few hours til the show. If we don't find out about the spoiler on CBS, we'll know for sure on After Dark.

Spoiler:
That would suck though. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Dick, as I didn't catch his season live. I watched most of it on youtube, but didn't see any of the After Dark stuff. I thought he was pretty funny, but maybe the less you see of him the better.

I didn't see a Big Brother game thread started and I just realized why. This new twist screwed that up.

Yep....they go in a week before the show even premieres. Which is usually why the first night of the feeds or BBAD is such a "What-the-fuck-is-going-on-fest"

Plus, who knows what bullshit they're making up as they go along this year.

Also...at this point it's still just unconfirmed rumor anyway.

Spoiler:

But it would make sense they would be two of the first folks voted out IMO if they are there.

Re: Big Brother 13 (CBS)

Crossing my fingers that there isn't a saboteur. Did that Alison woman ever admit how badly they fucked that up?

edit: Grodner...that's right. I'm just taking dolphinboy's lead and using AG.

I don't think Grodner ever admits to anything being done poorly. Case in point, Julie Chen is still hosting.

Well, AG never admits to anything because she doesn't have to. Have you ever seen her? She EATS the people who dare to criticize her or even give her some constructive criticism.

Spoiler:
The vileness of Dick didn't really fully translate to Ali G's edited show. She had to get him votes for her TV show. Instead, he got the "rough around the edges, rock 'n roll Dad, with a heart of gold" edit. That is not true. There's a reason why both his kids don't talk to him anymore. Dick could be funny, and he did have a certain charm to him, but he's pretty much a scumbag. I wish Jessica from BB8 was coming back, but I think she has a new baby.

Wow, Cassi's even more telegenic, nice accent. Porsche, eh...

Glad they shook it up this season.
