It wasn't great but it had a few good moments and I'm a big fan of H. Jon Benjamin so I'll give it some time. I really didn't like the wife's voice. I knew it wasn't him but it reminded me of Andy Kindler's nasally whine.

One and done. Bob had a few humorous moments, but nothing I would consider a "laugh," and the wife and kids were painfully not funny and actually more annoying than anything. I actually dozed off for the last 5 minutes or so, but didn't bother rewinding when I woke up.

I enjoyed this. I'll watch some more but it could get boring.
Tina's autistic.
She's not autistic.
Watch this. Tina, how many toothpicks?
A hundred?
A hundred? No, there's three.
*adds one*
How many now?
Three.
No, four. You're the worst kind of autistic. You can't count.

I like H Jon Benjamin, Kristen Schaal, and Eugene but the wife and older daughter are so annoying that I won't be watching again.

Yeah, Bob (H. Jon Benjamin), the son (Eugene Mirman), and youngest daughter (Kristen Schaal) were all pretty funny to me. Had a lot of great lines and some good voice acting to boot.
The mom was sort of annoying and the oldest daughter was just meh. If anything, the older daughter seems as though she'll be relatively background and works well when the other characters are mocking her. The whole toothpick bit was hilarious.
I like the "crudeness" of the animation, but I also really like the way the similar style is used in Dr. Katz and Home Movies.
Overall, I don't think this will last long. Seems like something better suited for Comedy Central or Adult Swim, no smack dab in the middle of FOX's Animation Domination block. I'll be tuning in though until the end, I found it consistently funny, especially the three characters mentioned above.

I am shocked at all the negative reaction.

I too really liked it, the humor is very much in line with Home Movies and the pace is probably what's maybe throwing people off? It's more subtle than Family Guy and that ilk (which is a weird thing to say about a show who's major plot point was cannibalism)

I'd have enjoyed the show more if it was just Bob, his son and the younger daughter. The mom and the older daughter just don't seem like good characters.

I thought this was painfully unfunny. I doubt I'll give it a second shot. Glad some others enjoyed it though.

To the people who didn't like it/didn't find it funny, have you seen Home Movies or Dr. Katz and were/are you fans of those shows?

yes. often it's better than FG, if you can believe that. it's sort of started out similarly to American Dad. Slow first season, but now that they have some idea of what they want to do with the characters, it's been better.
