Synopsis for "History Never Repeats"

Spoiler:
Season 8 opens with 18 past contestants returning to compete in New York City-based culinary heats. They are challenged to re-create the ill-fated dish that caused their elimination during their previous stint on the show. Among the returnees: Richard Blais; Tiffani Faison; Spike Mendelsohn; Angelo Sosa; Marcel Vigneron; and Fabio Viviani. Anthony Bourdain serves as a seasonal judge.

Why Kevin isn't on All Stars

For those of you interested or perplexed....I was offered a spot on Top Chef Allstars. They tried to convince me that it would be a second opportunity to show that I could win. I honestly don't need a second opportunity to feel like a winner, and the outpouring that I get from everyone on this page reminds me of that on a daily basis.

The thing is each season has a 1 or 2 douchebags, but this particular season of All Stars features at least 4 or 5 of them. The scales have been all kinds of fucked up. But I'm happy to see Richard Blais again.

Yah, Casey said that she was done with TC after she helped Carla "Hootie Hoo" (Season 5) lose. I still like Casey and would love to try her food when/if I get to Dallas.

I'm betting at least 2-3 guys from season 6 said no before they got to Mike. I don't think he belongs, and I would have rather they just used Jen and picked up someone else from another season (Sam?).

Wait, that synopsis makes it sound like it's being done like Top Chef Masters. Hopefully it's the normal format as I just don't enjoy the Masters way and I don't think I could just enjoy a week of more than one of these people.
