Damm i am gonna be nervous all week worrying bout Jacks ultimate fate

death or imprisonment ? I can't see him getting a happily ever after finish living with Kim and his grand daughter with what he's done though it wouldnt be hard for him to blackmail Pressie Taylor for a pardon and immunity

I hope the writers came up with a Vic Mackie style acceptable fate for Jack

I see his honor getting in the way of a blackmail situation like this, but it would be an awesome table turn to have Jack be the one asking for immunity and a pardon after 8 season of everyone else doing it.

I also thought it was brilliant seeing the behind the scenes actions of placing a mole in CTU as well last episode.

That's what I thought too, and he did to an extent, but he STILL didn't give up the Russian president, even though he clearly thought he was about to die (and for good reason).

Of course he gave him up unintentionally later, which was nice.

My guess is that Jack will attempt to kill the Russian president and get killed as a result. Then they'll search Jack and find the recording he made from the bug he planted on Logan, everyone will feel guilty, and Taylor will make a speech about how Bauer was a great hero to the US.

It kinda seemed like Logan knew he was bugged. "You shouldn't have had Renee Walker killed..." Like he was trying to keep Jack away from him and seeking vengeance on someone else. But what do I know - I also thought that Dalia Hassan was going to be revealed to be behind her husband's death as well - a convenient way for her to kill off her cheating husband and take over the country all at once.

I was kind of disappointed with the small bug on Logan's collar. I was hoping Jack would have pulled a Michael Westen and cloned the cellphone instead so he could hear both sides of the conversation.

And the stab wound, well, I can see it being a bit worse since it's about the same place that Renee had stabbed him earlier.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "1:00pm to 2:00pm" -- 05/17/10

When Chloe said, "There is ONE who can still help us," did anyone else besides me think: TONY!!!

I know he's not an agent, and I know he was willing to kill Jack, but maybe Jack can see a little where Tony was coming from, spurned by the government he once served. I realize their responses were very different: Tony killing lots of innocent people, Jack killing mainly bad people, Jack still trying to see justice (along with vengeance) served. I assume he's still in custody somewhere, but man it'd be cool to see Tony back in some, any capacity...

I thought for sure it would be Aaron, as I think he could talk some sense into Jack.

Great episode.
The scene with Jack attacking Logan's car was one of the best of the series. Love how Jack is turning into the Punisher this season.

Logan is out for himself, he would throw Pillar, the russians, Taylor, anyone under the bus to save himself

After hearing what Jack did to Renee's shooter, Logan had no reason to believe Jack wasn't gonna kill him for real hence the singing like a canary

I'm thinking he's going to kill the Russian president. After that, the tape from the bug on Logan will get leaked out to the net. Logan will then be arrested and told that he's going to be up the death penalty because he's a traitor to his country because this is the second time he's done something like this. Taylor will be cornered about her role in the events today because of the phone call the reporter made to Nadia, then once she learns that the tape leaked, she will have to step down or be impeached and arrested for her role. The last ten minutes I bet are going to be Chloe cornering Jack, but she won't be able to kill him, or get him to come with her. I bet she lets Jack go and he becomes a fugitive as the silent clock ticks down to 4:00pm.
