That tunnel scene was probably the most bada-- moment in the series. Even more insane than Bauer saving Heller in Day 4. Bauer climbing on the hood of the limo was actually scary.
That whole scene reminded me of the North Hollywood Shootout in 1997. I still remember that on the news. Full body armor and all.
Definitely the best episode SINCE season 5.
funny that Logan got bamboozled by Bauer again, like in season 5

so agree with you. give itzen his emmy now because his acting in the limo scene and during jack's interrogation was the best performance i've seen on tv this year. yes, even better than terry o'quinn. logan sang like a canary for jack. I don't think i have ever seen a complete turnaround in a season like this season of 24. the first 10 episodes were crap but since then...u could put the last 10-12 episodes up against the best complete seasons of the show. he went frank castle on the russians.

That was a fucking incredible hour of TV.
I think after this season is said and done Jack Bauer has sealed the deal as TV's most badass character ever.
The scene where Jack kidnapped Logan with the dark mask and took out all his secret service agents was one of the most badass scenes I've ever seen on the show.
Greg Itzen= Give the guy his Emmy right now. His performance in the episode was amazing. Absolutely loved him crying like a little bitch saying..."That's Jack Bauer!"
Loved Logan whining and begging Jack during the interrogation scene.
Loved how Jack outsmarted Logan and placed a bug in his collar. Jack Bauer is the man!!
My jaw dropped at the carnage he left behind after he took out Novakovich and all his men. I cannot wait to see what he happens with Suborov now that Jack knows he was the mastermind behind the entire day.
I'm so fucking fired up right now. I can't believe the show is ending next week.
Jack needs to fire a rocket launcher and blow up Carlton Cuse & Damon Lindelof's office right now. I have a feeling 24's series finale is going to blow away Lost's next week.
The one person who deserves major props is David Fury, who wrote this episode. The guy simply knows how to bring it with Jack.

I was so upset when i first heard that this was gonna be the final season of 24 but the last 6 episodes have totally changed my mind. I am thrilled that the show is going out in such a bad ass way.

The line between Justice and Vengeance with Jack is so blurred right now and I love it

Wow. Everything's been mentioned already: Itzen was fantastic in this episode, and the whole kidnapping has to be the best 24 sequence ever. From Jack putting on the mask to putting Logan to sleep, it was absolute brilliance. When he let Logan off the hook without killing him I figured he couldn't bring himself to kill a former president, that and I had notices him calling Logan "Mr. President". But it was to plant a bug! Well played.
Man this has to be the best ending of a show I've ever seen. Just great last 10 or so hours. In a way I'd love to have 24 back next year, but having it end like this is pure masterpiece. Let's hope next week keeps the pace.

Not much to add, but I'm curious how the reporter plot will play out. Did Jack copy the memory card with the video of Dana Walsh cavorting with the Russians? Did Ricker?

The only unbelievable part was the fact that Logan's motorcade would go through such a narrow alleyway where they could easily get ambushed. Also, how did Bauer ewven know they'd go through that way?

Dear Diary,
Today I terrorized several civilians trapped in their cars, shot three Secret Service agents, roughed up an ex-U.S. President, and impaled a Russian dignitary with a fireplace poker. It was the BEST day ever.

What I'm wondering is: how in the world were the writers planning on "rehabilitating" Jack if there was going to be another season? Even if it was eventually shown that he was right in exposing the cover-up, I can't imagine all of what Jack's been doing the last few hours could be swept under the rug. Did the writers decide to go all out here just because it looked like the show was not going to be picked up next season?

Especially since this already happened in season 6. You would think Jack would know better than hand off sensitive data to a red shirt by now.

Wow another amazing episode
Surely Jack knew Meredith Reed wouldn't survive long with the evidence in this environment.
I actually liked the fact we only saw the aftermath of Novakovich's death, very effective.
I sure hope this wound Jack has isn't gonna be how he dies. That would be pathetic.
I like the way Cole was talking about putting Jack down if he had to. As if Cole !
President Taylor has to pay for her mistakes

Agree w/everything--just awesome.
So how can there be a movie? What would it be? Jack on the run from the entire U.S. government? A flashback?

I had 3 episodes sitting on my DVR last night and was about ready to just throw in the towel. We decided to soldier through. Holy fuck. The last 3 episodes of 24 (counting last night) have been the best the show has been in the last 3-4 seasons. WOW!

Escaping from a Russian gulag (ala that mini-episode where he almost escaped from the Chinese)?
