I don't recall the dialogue specifically, but that was the meaning I took from what Keamy was saying. Nothing about an island.

The closed captions, in the abc website, say "what's about to happen to you", but yeah, it still sounds like "island" to me too.

Yeah, listening to it again, it's just an odd break in his delivery that makes it sound like island.

Odd choice of lines at any rate, what does Jin have to figure out when Keamy spells it out for him?

Not sure what you mean by spells it out for him, he doesn't understand English.

Was I the only one expecting Jin to start speaking perfect English to Sayid?

I'm going to make my prediction now on my own LOST theory, something I've been thinking about and last night had some more help in that regard:

LOST is about Daniel Faraday being "lost" in time. Think about the key Faraday episodes, with characters mentally traveling through time and becoming "unstuck". Faraday finally turned his experiments on himself and has become unglued. The "Island" is a construct he has created in an attempt to bring himself back to his own time. Because Faraday has been unstuck in time for so long, his personality has split into two distinct personas - Jacob, the good, and MIB, the bad. The "rules" that Faraday have set up are that Jacob has 108 chances (the candidates) to bring himself back into his own time. The Candidates are all people that Faraday has met at some point in time. If none of the 108 can bring him back, the MIB wins and can "leave the Island", i.e., the bad part of his personality takes over. That's why MIB either needs all 108 to be dead or with him. Seeing Desmond last night was the tipper for me, as Desmond is Faraday's constant and practically his last chance of "making the leap back home". The "flash sideways" world is actually the world that the Losties are living in, and the Island world the one in Faraday's mind. There's more to the LOST world that fits in with a Faraday centric theory, like Dharma and such, but this is what I'm going with for now.

Interesting.
I do agree that Faraday should ultimately be playing a larger role in the show's final hours.
And now that we have Desmond back, the return of Faraday's presence seems likely.

I guess we'll have to wait it out....

Also, why was Keamy so concerned about Jin being hit in the head? I mean he or someone else was going to kill him, why the need to clean that brush in the head?

or what was going to happen to Jin?

Creative...but a little too complex...and too much like the ending of St. Elsewhere.

This is exactly what I was going to say. All they would need is a shot of a comatose Farraday in a hospital staring a poster of an island in his room.

I would be a little upset if the island ended up being a figment of any of the character's imagination.

Pretty creative, but what does "being unstuck in time" have to do with "being dead." ;) I miss Faraday.

I have to say, the scene with Locke and Widmore was so good.

The chemistry between Alan Dale and Terry O' Quinn was off the charts.

Re: Lost -- "The Package" -- 03/30/10

I just feel that the main point of the show (atleast it has turned towards this way in the last season or so), is that Jacob is going to prove the MIB wrong about humans.

I feel the MIB will be stuck on the island because the humans (which MIB has always seen as weak), will ultimately stand up to prevent the evil from leaving the island, even if they are each promised whatever they desire most (Sun is a good example of this in last nights episode, and she showed the MIB that she doesn't trust what "Locke" is saying to her).

Even if it means that Jacob, and most of the humans are killed, they will at least be on the team that is going to win, and succeed in preventing the evil from being freed into the world.

Anyone notice tha map Zoe was showing Jin?

I think it had three sites circled and I can only think of 2 sites that had pockets of energy (The orchid and the swan site)

And for anyone that thinks that Jacob is the evil one, I will slice my shirt I am wearing right now into enough small pieces, to eat it slowly over the months following the reveal of such information. I wouldn't want to eat it all at once, that would be awful. A small piece a day until it totally disappears. If I said that I would eat my entire shirt upon hearing such information, I think the bodily harm it could cause would not be worth it (to me at least).

I didn't know that was his last name, and that threw me off even more - I actually thought it might be Desmond, but when they said, "come on Hume", I'm like who the fuck is Hume?

yeah, that was pretty obnoxious in addition to the countdown that was constantly there.

still not as bad as sci-fi's, though, where some of their promos block the entire bottom 1/3 of the screen, not just the corner :|

How/why would Dharma have a reference to Jacob?

Keamy: "Gonna strap you in here in case you figure out what happened to the island. I can't have you freaking out"

It was right at the 30 minute mark. Am I hearing that right? Full Episode Link

I agree with this.

Sounds like it.

I heard 'Island' as well.
