Did Miles really say "... and she's still hot"?

if so, that was classic.

Sayid's is Nadia is alive, but Sayid can't be with her.

Maybe the flashes are their lives after the Losties make their deal with Jacob or MiB.
But Dogen sees his son in the flash sideways.

What exactly was it that Claire had to do that Locke couldn't do himself? Get stuck in a pit? Was her whole mission just to try to convince Dogan to go outside? Because it doesn't seem likely he expected her to kill Dogan (her axe skills notwithstanding).

It was more like "still hot, though" but yeah that was classic.

LOL get used to that. I have the feeling ABC promo creators don't actually watch the episodes, they just advertise them. :P

And this.

I started to feel sad that there are only 10 more episodes.

Or is it 10 more episodes PLUS the 2 hour finale?

But still.

So maybe the deal is, that in this "alt" universe you will be moderately happy and everything will go ok for you, and therefore it doesn't matter if you die on the island because you can be secure in the fact that due to some time rift you actually have everything you want, it's just not this version of you.

I mean in the flash sideways Locke is getting married, Jack is reconciling with his son, sayid is with Nadia(kind of), Hurley is rich and lucky, Kate seems to be having fun running from the law, Claire is having her baby, sawyer seems like he could be a god guy, Jin is locked in a cooler...wait the last one doesn't work, but you catch my drift....maybe the promise from MiB and Jacob is that your life does/will turn out well just not this timeline (if there are even two timelines)

that all made sense to me...

It didn't turn out that great for Charlie either.

Re: Lost -- "Sundown" -- 03.02.10

Charlie's dead. Locke's dead. Boone's dead. Shannon's dead. Eko's dead. Ana-Lucia and Libby are dead. Nikki and Paulo are dead. Michael's dead. Arzt's dead. Frogurt's dead. Steve and/or Scott are dead.

These people don't get to make deals with MiB or Jacob.

We don't know where Dogen comes from, necessarily. I find it hard to believe the son we saw in the sideways flash would be the same 12 year-old he was talking about last night. That would mean Dogen came to the island just a few years before O815 crashed there. He just seems to tightly integrated to be that new.

Yeah. I think it was to pass on a message. Her arrival was the catalyst for all the events that followed.

Yep.

The alternates are not scenes from the future or something like that.

did Sayid kill them knowing this? As if sparing their lives from Smokey?

I thought they made it pretty clear last night (and in the premiere) that the water has lost its healing power. Whatever brought Sayid back may not have the same need/desire for Dogen or Lennon.

And I was so hoping that Lennon would finally get to open that hardware store.

Especially after his plans for a liquor store went up in smoke.

How is this choice? Join me or die? It's an illusion of choice.

Jacob and MiB both have shades of grey in their dealings. I don't think it's clear at all who is really the good side, and there may not be one.

I'll never get this obsession on this board with the actors on LOST playing other roles on other shows.

Especially when not everybody has seen every other show/movie being referenced. For someone who had never seen the Wire, seeing everybody refer to Mr. Widmore's assistant (Abbadon) as Lt. Daniels is just confusing.

I'll be honest - this whole Alt universe thing is just FILLER! I find it boring and find my self saying "why do I care?, just get back to the Island story"

@ the temple just a couple of episodes ago was a fortress that you either had to be kidnapped to enter or you would be killed for getting to close..... now you can sneak in and out of the back door, or just knock 3 times and come through the front door.

I found last night's flash sideways actually very engaging. And it had a thematic connection to the island story as well. Sayid is and always will be an evil man.

It was very well done last night. Kudos to the writers.

As much as I'm enjoying this season of LOST, I have to admit, you're pretty right about this. As Ackerly sid, it was pretty engaging last night, but only as a stand-alone, not as part of the "actual plot." I'm holding hope that the alt universe stuff will eventually play into the main plot we've been following for years and thus not feel like filler once we get to the finale. After all, Juliet said "It worked," suggesting that maybe this is a sort of destiny for our heroes...but I dunno.

Yeah, that is pretty funny. Still, all in all, awesome TV.

I loved how Kate just sauntered in without anybody giving her a second glance. It was like Skippy on "Family Ties".

I still think Jacob is clearly the good side, based on the conversation he had with MIB when the Black Rock was sailing in.
