I'll float this out...
Juliet traveled back to 1974-1977 with the Losties. She is the one who ultimately sets off the bomb that causes the incident.
Therefore, the island is killing pregnant women in order to bring her to the island in 200x so she'll be there to travel back in time to cause the incident.

The bomb sends the candidates to 2007. We have yet to see how the bomb affected 1977 but we know someone there finished the Swan station.

The enhanced repeat of this episode on 3/9/10 confirmed that the MIB appeared on the island as Christian to Jack and Claire, as Yemi to Mr. Eko, and as Hurley's bald buddy from the looney bin. But Christian also appeared to Jack at his job after Jack left the island. Does that mean the MIB is/was able to leave the island?

The writers have always claimed that "Dave" was a figment or Hurley's imagination and not the monster or anything else, so it is a bit strange that they're now claiming otherwise. Are we also to assume that "Dave" was always the monster, even back when Hurley was in the institution before he even came to the island?
As far as the "enchanced" information goes, I'm not sure about the current status of it. Back when they first started doing it, lostpedia said that it wasn't coming from the writers or producers, but some of the information revealed has turned out to be accurate (such as the woman in Daniel's home being his caretaker and not his wife).

After reading this, I had to check to see if this was right. It didn't quite play out like that. Christian told Sun and Lapidus to wait for Locke in Ben's old house and a day later Locke and Ben show up. Christian wasn't around at that point.

Okay, I don't remember that necessarily, but since you have it queued up, watch the scene again. You can see the smoke monster blowing around outside while Christian is talking.

Well, here's what I did notice. When Sun and Lapidus arrived at the dock, you could hear Smokie sounds in the bushes. Then later when they are talking to Christian, there's a strong wind that blows open the door with some fog.

I do agree with what you are saying though. I think Christian may be an entity separate from MiB and Jacob. But there really hasn't been any definitive proof one way or the other.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. That can't be fog, it's black smoke. So how can he be in two places at one time?
Even so, how the hell did he slip away from Ben to talk to these two when they're traveling together?

Just because it's windy and a little foggy outside doesn't mean Smokey is out there. Christian was Smokey until Locke's body arrived then he switched and dumped Christian's body somewhere.
Jack was seeing Christian on the island but it was Smokey. When he saw him at the hospital he was drunk and imagining it.

There is a day gap between Christian talking to them and Locke arriving. It's actually three episodes later. Ben and Locke don't set out together until the day after Christian's conversation.

I did just think of something that never crossed my mind before about Dave. I've always assumed it was the monster, but now we know that Hurley can see and talk with dead people. What if Dave was a real person who was already dead the entire time?

Definitely something I thought about. I think it's possible, if not probable.

Was he? Hurley did warn him that someone was going to visit him soon. Then we saw Christian show up for a second or two.

So, we come back to Christian on the mainland. Maybe in human form he can appear anywhere off-island for short periods of time (hospital, boat, etc...)
As for Dave, I remember Hugo was holding a slipper. The question is: did anyone else on the island ever see the slipper? If yes, then Dave was physically there.

Mark my words: The two are not the same.
