Lost -- "Lighthouse" -- 02.23.10

haha....well no one commented on the last one I posted, so that was better in my mind and more promising than the feedback I got here, I will stop posting them here unless I make another one or five, anyways I have never been called a "Poor boy" before, but I will try my best to embrace such a title.

I didn't realize it was andy's, nor did I know he had been posting similar ones repeatedly.
Andy - there were parts where I could tell you recycled a segment. I think you could probably make it 35-45 seconds and get the same intent across and be more successful.

thanks for the ideas....will try it out....I was trying to show a constant growing annoyance and I thought had to keep showing him getting annoyed to get this point across, but there was only so much locke footage to work with.........I posted one other one in the last thread, things tend get blown out of proportion.

New and slightly improved but still PAINFUL smoke monster video:
http://whatisandrewmichaelsdoingnow....sland-forever/
also I would love to hear a stranger's input on my short story I wrote called:
"Boys put down your silverware..."
http://whatisandrewmichaelsdoingnow....drew-michaels/
I have only heard feedback from people who know myself and my type of humor, so it might be nice to get feedback on it from an outsider. It should take about 3-4 minutes to read. Thanks again and I hope you can check it out. I gave you props on my blog for your assistance.

Team Jacob:
Hurley
Jack
Team MiB:
Sawyer
Sayid
Claire
That's all we know for sure (although I think the Last Supper pic tells us which side the rest will fall). Of course we don't know what they need them for, that has yet to be revealed. I'm sure we'll at least have to wait until the end of the recruitment to find out both sides agenda.

We don't know yet, because the recruitment phase has not finished. There is still time to turn Ilana or she could be killed and infected (she is on her way to the temple, same as MiB). As for Richard, I don't think we know enough about him to say which side he's on. Sure, he was warning Sawyer, but he may be an unwilling participant for the MiB's team (as most are). We still don't know why the guy doesn't age, so I don't think we can pretend to know much about him.

You should start a thread in book talk if you want feedback on stuff you've written. That said, I read it and the grammar and tone need a lot of work, as it simply doesn't read how people speak. With the stilted language, it somewhat comes off as the fantasy diary of a kid who blames his mom for his dad leaving her.

And don't worry, if the videos have annoyed you all this much, I won't post anymore. I enjoy this site very much, and if someone was making dvdtalk less enjoyable for myself, I would be annoyed as well.

Stanley Park: Very crass reference to Walter Koenig's (Chekhov on Star Trek) son's suicide. Stanley Park is Vancouver's main "green space" and where his body was found.

I noticed the parallels between Claire and Rousseau. And it makes me wonder if this isn't all cyclical. I wonder if every cycle has a "Danielle / Claire" character living wild out in the jungle trying to get their baby back from the others.

^ Interesting. I'm not sure where they'll take this, but definitely a bit I didn't pick up on while watching. I'll pay closer attention to this arc.

Also, don't let anyone tell you you use too many commas. Commas are the best. However, I have notice you often use the word "myself" when you should just use "me."

Then don't post in a thread about the latest Lost episode to have to scroll past or read a discussion about amateur videos though. If he thinks it's worth posting then by all means start a thread and people that want to view and comment won't interfere or "hijack" another discussion.

I think the lighthouse is where Jacob keeps his list of possible replacements and the cave is where the MiB keeps track of the people he wants to kill or recruit. Jacob needs to keep bringing people to island to make sure it is protected. The Mib needs to kill everyone trying to protect the island but he can't just do it because there are rules.
What are the rules though? Mib can not directly kill one of Jacob's candidates but he can have someone else kill them. The problem with this is Mib kill Mr. Ecko who seemed like a candidate but I didn't note his name so maybe note.
Another rule maybe. Mib will become stuck in one form if he becomes someone who's body is on the island. Note Jack's dad's body was never found. I think Mib tossed it so he could become Jack's dad and not get stuck in that form. This would be a good reason why Jacob had his people bring Lock's body.
What are the rules though? Mib can not directly kill one of Jacob's candidates but he can have someone else kill them. The problem with this is Mib kill Mr. Ecko who seemed like a candidate but I didn't note his name so maybe note.
