I think the lighthouse is where Jacob keeps his list of possible replacements and the cave is where the MiB keeps track of the people he wants to kill or recruit. Jacob needs to keep bringing people to island to make sure it is protected. The Mib needs to kill everyone trying to protect the island but he can't just do it because there are rules.

What are the rules though? Mib can not directly kill one of Jacob's candidates but he can have someone else kill them. The problem with this is Mib kill Mr. Ecko who seemed like a candidate but I didn't note his name so maybe note.
Another rule maybe. Mib will become stuck in one form if he becomes someone who's body is on the island. Note Jack's dad's body was never found. I think Mib tossed it so he could become Jack's dad and not get stuck in that form. This would be a good reason why Jacob had his people bring Lock's body.

Besides Mr. Eko who else has MiB tried to kill? From my perspective, Jacob's followers were the ones that attempted or threatened to kill the Losties. Even when the Losties went to the temple, the Others was going to kill all of them until Hurley spoke up.

Oh, and I hope a Tsunami doesn't devastate the Hawaii community and all of that, that would be terrible etc etc,

Considering that Lost films everything in Hawaii, a tsunami could really fuck up the production. I wonder how they would have dealt with that at this point in the production.

I'm pretty sure cracksky was being sarcastic. You people actually think that the most important consequence of this tsunami is how it affects the filming of a stupid TV show? Good lord...

Non-spoiler stuff:
The Lost writers are in the process of breaking the series finale, which will be penned by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse and directed by Jack Bender. The penultimate episode will be written by producer/writers (and fellow panelists) Elizabeth Sarnoff, Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.
Should Disney someday replace Tom Sawyer Island with a Lost Island, what ride would the cast and crew like to see? Emerson suggested a wild ride on a VW bus with a distracted Hurley behind the wheel. Lindelof went with something more visceral: a dark room in which you spin around repeatedly before getting hit in the face. “You’ve just had the Lost experience!” Lindelof joked.
Radio silence: After being bombarded with questions about the show for six years, Cuse said they do not plan on commenting on the series finale after it airs.
Episode 15 was just shot this week in Hawaii and they are prepping for Episode 16.

Imagine if the series finale is that someone was in a ride in Disneyland and dreamed all the series while there...
And now if you want to enjoy the same, come to Disneyland to the Lost ride!

No. We don't. But it is something that concerns us. And we worry for the cast and crew as well (not just the actual filming). Also, to correct you, this is far from just a stupid TV show.

But, just because they didn't seem that major to me doesn't mean you won't think they are major spoilers.

This is going to be a clusterfuck of an ending. After hearing some of their comments after people's complaints of previous episodes I have the sinking feeling that these people think they are much more clever than they are.

Trust me, the way these cats are, if everyone was left feeling that the writers were geniuses and need to be regaled with heaps of praise, they'd be there to receive it.

That's a very bad sign. To me, that means they know a lot of people are going to be PISSED THE FUCK OFF and they don't want to deal with the fallout.

Also, they're keenly aware of how much speculation every minute detail on the show receives. (Was it a polar bear in Locke's box when he cleaned out his desk, or a golden retriever?!?) I truly think they understand the majority of their fans, and they know that savoring and discussing the finale amongst themselves will be far more enjoyable than hearing what the creators were trying to get across. I know that's my preference. They'll talk about the finale someday.

When it comes to endings that piss people off and divide audiences, I am usually on the side that loves the ending. So I say bring on the audience splitting ending! I am thinking I will LOVE IT!
