That's what I've been thinking. The lighthouse list is the master list of Jacob's candidates. The MiB may sneak up there from time to time, take notes and jot them down in the cave walls so he can take out, or just keep tabs on those candidates without having to kill everyone on the island.

They must have been doing some stuff at the beach today:

That's all I thought about when the Hawaii tsunami warning came up: has LOST finished shooting yet.

What are the rules though? Mib can not directly kill one of Jacob's candidates but he can have someone else kill them. The problem with this is Mib kill Mr. Ecko who seemed like a candidate but I didn't note his name so maybe note.

Another rule maybe. Mib will become stuck in one form if he becomes someone who's body is on the island. Note Jack's dad's body was never found. I think Mib tossed it so he could become Jack's dad and not get stuck in that form. This would be a good reason why Jacob had his people bring Lock's body.

Besides Mr. Eko who else has MiB tried to kill? From my perspective, Jacob's followers were the ones that attempted or threatened to kill the Losties. Even when the Losties went to the temple, the Others was going to kill all of them until Hurley spoke up.

As far as I know all the scripts are locked except the finale, which D&C are currently penning. So I'd say they'd be filming ep 15 and prepping 16 right about now.

Oh, and I hope a Tsunami doesn't devastate the Hawaii community and all of that, that would be terrible etc etc,

I think they're up to about hour fifteen or sixteen (out of eighteen).

Considering that Lost films everything in Hawaii, a tsunami could really fuck up the production. I wonder how they would have dealt with that at this point in the production.

That's the first thing that came to my mind too. I also pray for everyone that is affected by this, obviously, but this does concern us as Lost fans.

Hey, there is a reason the island is under water in one of the time lines! They can shoot their ending with the tsunami!

I'm pretty sure cracksky was being sarcastic. You people actually think that the most important consequence of this tsunami is how it affects the filming of a stupid TV show? Good lord...

Re: Lost -- "Lighthouse" -- 02.23.10

Stuff from the Paley Festival:

Non-spoiler stuff:

The Lost writers are in the process of breaking the series finale, which will be penned by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse and directed by Jack Bender. The penultimate episode will be written by producer/writers (and fellow panelists) Elizabeth Sarnoff, Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

Should Disney someday replace Tom Sawyer Island with a Lost Island, what ride would the cast and crew like to see? Emerson suggested a wild ride on a VW bus with a distracted Hurley behind the wheel. Lindelof went with something more visceral: a dark room in which you spin around repeatedly before getting hit in the face. “You’ve just had the Lost experience!” Lindelof joked.

Radio silence: After being bombarded with questions about the show for six years, Cuse said they do not plan on commenting on the series finale after it airs.

Episode 15 was just shot this week in Hawaii and they are prepping for Episode 16.
Spoiler stuff:

Spoiler:
1. Jack's baby momma (mother of David Shephard in the flash-sideways world) is somebody we've met before. Juliet? Kate? Sara? Hmm...

2. We probably will see Walt again. "[Malcolm David Kelley] absolutely would still be on the show," Carlton Cuse said, "but the actor aged." Damon Lindelof: "We are working on a way to bring Walt back before Lost is all said and done."

3. Damon: "Ilana and Richard will say things to each other and about each other in the future," artfully dodging the question about whether they are both "really old."

4. Terry O'Quinn is "playing a guy who we're not going to see until the finale." So we will see the o.g. Man in Black again. (Yee!)

5. Someone IS coming to the island.

6. Matthew Abbadon will not return.

7. We will get an answer to Libby and Hurley and their connection in the past.

8. Vincent will be back.

11. Will we find out if there really was a bird on the island that said "Hurley" as it flew by, as some fans have guessed/heard in past episodes? "That is on our list of things to explain," Damon promises.

12. When asked if we'll find out what happened to Annie, Ben's childhood sweetheart, Carlton says, "We don't want to say. Probably not."

13. The gang's back together! While answering an unrelated Q, Terry O'Quinn mentioned: "A whole bunch of the cast is working together again."

14. There will be more for Charlie fans.

15. Alan Dale aka Charles Widmore will return.

16. Whether Jacob actually ever furnished a list of candidates to Ben or The Others is speculative...and might have been Ben lying to get the surgery from Jack.

17. A clip was shown for next week's episode in which (a) Sayid says "Apparently, I'm evil," (b) Miles tells Sayid he was dead and says "Whatever brought you back it wasn't them (the Temple people)," and (c) Claire storms into the Temple telling Dogen that "He" wants to talk to him. Looks pretty good.

Imagine if the series finale is that someone was in a ride in Disneyland and dreamed all the series while there...

And now if you want to enjoy the same, come to Disneyland to the Lost ride!

Very. Identities of certain people, if cast members are returning, etc.

No. We don't. But it is something that concerns us. And we worry for the cast and crew as well (not just the actual filming). Also, to correct you, this is far from just a stupid TV show.

Excuse me, but I feel very strongly that I expressed the requisite degree of concern. I mean, did you even read my post?

Actually, I didn't think the spoilers were too big and surprising. It's not like they told us the script for the last episode or anything. I read them and will not feel any different when watching from here on out.

But, just because they didn't seem that major to me doesn't mean you won't think they are major spoilers.

This is going to be a clusterfuck of an ending. After hearing some of their comments after people's complaints of previous episodes I have the sinking feeling that these people think they are much more clever than they are.

That's a very bad sign. To me, that means they know a lot of people are going to be PISSED THE FUCK OFF and they don't want to deal with the fallout.

Trust me, the way these cats are, if everyone was left feeling that the writers were geniuses and need to be regaled with heaps of praise, they'd be there to receive it.

I don't think they give a shit if they piss some people off. They have absolute creative control and they're doing things the way they want. I, like so many others, love this show and they haven't let us down yet. There's never been anything else quite like it, and I'll go wherever they want to take me.

Also, they're keenly aware of how much speculation every minute detail on the show receives. (Was it a polar bear in Locke's box when he cleaned out his desk, or a golden retriever?!?) I truly think they understand the majority of their fans, and they know that savoring and discussing the finale amongst themselves will be far more enjoyable than hearing what the creators were trying to get across. I know that's my preference. They'll talk about the finale someday.

When it comes to endings that piss people off and divide audiences, I am usually on the side that loves the ending. So I say bring on the audience splitting ending! I am thinking I will LOVE IT!
