Re: White Collar -- "As You Were" -- 7/26/11

Anyone know how Sarah figured out the password ... (I can't recall what it was) ... to allow her to use their laptop to view the online cam of the art treasure? I found that not so realistic and unexplained.

^^ It was evident in the prior episode.

When Neal logs into his computer to view the treasure, Sara read his password on the reverse on the guitar he was holding. Much like Neal did earlier in the ep. when guessing Sara's ATM PIN code.

It was nice having Jones at the forefront of this episode. And his old flame was hot!

I liked the ending and how they portrayed Neal's conflict. The relationship between Peter and Neal is really well-written, and well-acted by both stars.

Re: White Collar -- "As You Were" -- 7/26/11

Very good Jones-centered episode. I always felt like he was an underused character. At least we learned more about his past. Now if they will only remove the "guest starring" tag from his name.

Yeah Rochelle Aytes (who played Jones' ex) is smoking. She was on Detroit 187 last season and was also a regular on The Forgotten 2 years ago. She's hot and a decent actress.

Noticed also they added 2 shots of Jones and Sara in the opening credits. Now, that's more like it.

I would have liked to have seen Sara confront Neal about the treasure rather than just pack up, break up with him and leave. Hopefully they will address it in the future.

Agree, Neal and Peter and probably 2 of the best written characters on TV. DeKay and Bomer play off each other so well. I like this cat and mouse game, but also seeing Neal conflicted about getting rich with Mozzie and his loyalty/friendship with Peter.

Thanks. Must have missed that in the prior episode. I remember Neal getting a look at her PIN number in that episode, but must have missed the other part later.

Nice Tru Calling reunion between Dushku and Bomer, too bad Dushku's acting hasn't improved much in the past 5-6 years.

Loved this ep. Didn't at all like Neal lying to Moz last week and was glad there were repercussions this week. The chick trying to shoot Hale with a million FBI guys in the room seemed a bit far fetched, however...

Great episode.

Nice return for Keller and glad they left it open for him to return.

Got a laugh at Neal freaking out about the Degagh possibly screwing them over.

Didn't care for Eliza Dushku as the Egyptologist. Her trying to take out Keller for the $6M for a little bit of a stretch. Maybe if she played Echo I would believe it more. But, at least she has a little more meat on her bones than Hilarie Burton.

Re: White Collar -- "On the Fence" -- 8/02/11

I actually liked Eliza Dushku here. As long as they have her play to her strengths she's more than competent.

However, her assassination attempt wasn't just far fetched, it made absolutley no sense whatsoever. Was there any mention of her character being in desperate need of cash? She's described as a world-class Egyptologist and fence. A refined criminal with a bit of class if you will ala Neil, not Hit-Girl.

I suspect the powers that be wanted the ability to bring her back in the future by having her turned over to Peter. A completely shoe-horned in rationale.

As it's Degas.

Re: White Collar -- "On the Fence" -- 8/02/11

Actually, I liked Dushku in this. I didn't take her failed hit as being "for the cash" but rather looking for payback. However, if that was done to set up her return, all they had to do was have her and Neil meet up in private so he could give her the scarab.

I'm really getting tired of the treasure storyline. I hope they resolve that already because it's getting old.

I agree, the treasure storyline is getting old for this type of show. Didn't care for Dushku at all in this though. But does anyone have any predictions on where they're going overall witht his show? I mean how long can they carry on the story of the thief teaming with the FBI? I thought maybe Neil and Mozzy would do the right thing and hand over the treasure ot the FBI and have their records cleared, but that would go against their characters. I dunno. I like this show a lot, but I would think 3 seasons in and the way they keep splitting the seasons, they would have an endgame plan already in the works.

Or maybe this is the tip of the iceberg to a very long running show.

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Neal and Mozzie try to stay one step ahead of the FBI during an investigation into a treasure cache, which the pair secretly possess.

Episode 10 of 16

Last episode of the summer. Will return either this winter or early 2012.

Yeah I know it's a day early, but I'm going out of town for a few days for some relaxation and won't have computer access, so I thought I would start it early. I'll comment when I come back.

I liked the episode except for the ending, but that's mostly because I don't like the bad guy. He's too super villain for me.

The tension between Neil and Mozy was done well. It's nice to see Mozy be more than a sidekick.

The weapons dealer sting didn't make much sense. They busted him for weapons dealing without actually going through on the weapons deal.

Great episode. Nice moves by Neal and Moz swapping the paintings. I liked Neal's interplay with Anna Chlumsky's character at the end, after she knew he had played her.

This episode was amazing. Best of the season so far. Very tense Degas exchange.

This is now my favorite USA show. Until Psych returns, of course.

I'm a little surprised it's taken this long for Elizabeth to be in harm's way.

This would be a good opportunity to write Elizabeth's character off the show, but I doubt USA and their vanilla programming would go there.

Same here. I liked the first two seasons, but they're hitting on all cylinders now. The stories have been strong, and they've done a great job bringing Jones and Diana into the mix.

Definitely the strongest season yet, and has easily surpassed Burn Notice on the "what to watch next on the TiVo list."

Are they writing Mozzie out of the show? Either he gets caught with the loot or he rides off into the sunset. I don't see how he can stay after his ultimatum.

Surely somebody would have reported that parachute stunt.

Leaving the ceiling tile out of place was an idiot move on Neil's part, that's going to be discovered by somebody (along with the parachute equipment he stashed there).

I hope they get rid of Peters wife. And I like that bad guy. Maybe its cuz I love Band of Brothers, but I like a show that has a bigger threat/element. And itd be awesome if they wrote out Mozzie! Every time I hear him say "suit" I wanna throw the remote at the TV
