Sugar scrubs are so easy to make...I wouldn't buy any of them when you can make great ones at home for next to nothing. My wife make a great one for this past XMas.

He's already added "As seen on ABC's Shark Tank" to his website - http://www.coolwraps.com/
BTW, another knock on the shrink wrapping from someone who's used a similar product in the past. They tear EASILY. You put the hair dryer on one spot for even a half second too long and it rips. There is a learning curve with it that will probably turn off people right from the start.

And here's ANOTHER product that just got the biggest audience it will ever receive and when you go to buy it, it's not available. It's ridiculous how much of a missed opportunity some of these products have. These episodes were shot months ago, you should have plenty of time to get your ducks in a row and be ready to sell.

I think Mark bought it because this stuff is extremely cheap to make, he could get it down to pennies per bag, and sell them in a 50 pack bundle for $20. if you sell them cheap enough and in a high quantity, nobody will care about messing up a few times. This might make him a ton on money.

My wife knows that girl's family. The grocery store chain her products are in is Giant Eagle...probably the biggest chain in PA, OH, WV and MD. She wasn't allowed to say the name on TV, but it came off like some mom and pop operation. Still, considering she has to give up 10 percent of the company just to be on the show, there's no way I would have given Cuban that much of it.

And to appear on the show, you have to give 5% of the business or 2% of the profits forever to the producers.

That cooler was pretty cool idea. Looks like they've gone to Kickstarter to sell them: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...me-co?ref=live
That water bottle with a filter was same old same old, but having the squeeze part was a nice addition. Too bad the guy selling it was an idiot.

I caught Shark Tank for the first time tonight. Wow, that was a really entertaining hour.
I know it was a repeat because of the news. The episode featured a woman trying to sell some towel poncho, a young girl trying to sell doggie cakes and some guy selling a wine balloon.
at the guy with the wine balloon getting shafted out of $200k with his hesitation. Kevin Oleary is kind of a dick and hard ass. He totally tried to rip him off.
How long ago did this episode air? I may have to season pass it and check out any older episodes on Hulu.

OK, I checked the episode guide. It first aired Feb 10, 2012.

Wow, I can see why this episode was pushed back a week. The first pitch one of the guys makes a joke, "and who needs a three second head start" while pumping a shotgun. The next pitch the whole tank is basically laughing about what a terrible deal they gave a Boston native.
I liked the last pitch, the competent ones are always the best. The first pitch was also very good considering the product. I wasn't expecting that level of polish and calm.

It was pushed back a week because they were in full fugitive coverage. Any show would have been pushed back. I didn't even think of the Boston bombing during those pitches.
at Mr. Wonderful's cupcake slaves. The daughter's WTF face after the mom made the deal said it all.
Not the right place to sell that kinetic energy deal. That guy should be going to DARPA or something for a grant.
I'd buy one of those belts.

The "Mission Belt" really spoke to me, so I looked it up. They're available at Amazon fpr $35-40 with added $5 shipping. I also looked up they're official "As Seen On Shark Tank" website, and it seems like there's a another side to the product. Its too long to get into but it seems like there is a "mission" aspect to the mission belt and the story behind it seems a lot different than the guy presenting it. I really had to look at the "as seen on Shark Tank" thing to see if it was the same thing.

The Mission Belt FAQ on their site is pretty funny.
I gotta think somebody talked some sense into cupcake mom in the diligence phase. There is no way that deal could have ultimately gone through.

Even before Damon said "Grinch," I was thinking of that instantly when Mr. Wonderful went in.
Good for her. Love gumbo and am a Costco member, so look forward to buying it.
The rest of the products sucked. The chop block guy was sad. I can't believe there is that much money in that.

omg, that chopping block guy was pathetic and desperate. I think his figures are totally exaggerated.I loved the guy selling the squirrel shocker. He was so over the top and the product was so fucking ridiculous.
The two selling the coffee subscription service impressed me. They had a good presentation and knew what the hell they were talking about. I'm curious what makes them think Mark's deal was better. Are they riding that Mark has better connections than Kevin?

Jesus, does Robert pass on everything?
That was really cool that Lori and Kevin invested with the gumbo lady. Her product sounds good.

They said in the post-interview she has a crush on Mark, and he's a sports fan.

It does seem like Robert has passed a lot this season. He used to make a lot more deals. Maybe they're not panning out.

That business doesn't have a ton of upside and it was not in either of Kevin's or Lori's fields of expertise.

I can't believe anyone would partner with the Gumbo lady. while it sounds like she was on the right track, how the fuck can you be homeless and have no money with that amount of sales. that's absurd.

Because sales revenues in and of themselves aren't where it's at. It's about profit, it's about margins, it's about EBITDA.
