As expected, George (Ted Danson) continues to steal every scene he's in.

Yeah, I found season one tedious and the show's title way too on the nose, but so far the first two episodes of season two have been pretty entertaining. Toning down the whimsy and irony helped. You're right Geofferson, Danson kills. Between this and his Curb cameos, he's having a great later-years TV persona.

He was also great in Damages.

I also agree that these first two eps have been better than anything in season 1.

The shot of Schwartzman and Danson sitting in the closet right as Platt opened it up was really funny to me.

Last night's episode was great, probably my favorite episode of the show. Ted Danson is hilarious.

Last night's episode was excellent. The scene with Danson and Galifianakis in the car discussing his trip to the doctor was perfect.

Yeah, another solid episode. The inept thugs were also pretty funny.

I just cleared that 10/11 episode, "The Gowanus Canal Has Gonorrhea!", off my DVR. It was, honest to God, maybe the most I've laughed during a 30 minute TV show since "The Righteous Brothers" episode of Arrested Development. I was literally wiping tears off my face I was laughing so hard. What the hell happened to this show? How did Jonathan Ames suddenly get funny?

So much to love in the first episode.

Ted Danson is such a riot in this, but the phone call to the restaurant is what really got me.

I picked the Blu-ray of Season 1 up on Amazon a few weeks back when it was on sale and think this show is hilarious. I need to pick up a copy of Season 2 so I can start watching the new ones. The only thing is I wish the seasons were a bit longer.

I adore this show.

I caught the first season on HBO a few years ago and loved it. Zapped the entire second season when HBO recently replayed it back to back. After watching most of it I can definitely say this is the funniest damn show on television since Arrested Development. I need to get these on DVD. The chemistry between the three leads is off the charts.

Yep. AD and then this. A fantastic show that I own on blu and has replay value.

I just wish the eps or seasons were longer.

Episode 2 of 8 is tonight

"Gumball"

Spoiler:
On the run from the police, Jonathan and Ray turn to Howard (Patton Oswalt) for help with trying to find out who framed Jonathan for murder, while George runs interference for them in his own inimitable, marijuana-induced way.

Oh my God, seeing the group of cops who showed up at the carousel was hilarious.

Re: Bored to Death -- The 3rd Season Thread -- Premieres 10/10/11 (HBO)

I had to pause because I was laughing so hard at all the cops at the carousel.

Second episode was much better than the first, because the leads were interacting with each other again. Also the stuff between Galifianakis and Patton Oswalt was so, so good.

"I can have a fat pilot suit ready in twenty minutes."
"No, thanks. I need one for me, not for you."

I think that was one of the funniest episodes yet! Watched it with a friend who had never heard of the show, but loves Jason Schwartzman, and she loved it too. The end where everyone George thought was following him showing up and they actually were cops was great.

For some reason hearing the guy desribe Schwartzman as "painted like a $3 bill" got the biggest laugh out of me.

I think that second episode was one of the best in the series.
