I'm suspecting, To talk to his dead dad and find out information.

So there's one question relating to Miles that remains unanswered -- why did Widmore think a psychic would be useful on the island?
To talk to the Dharma people in the pit who died in the purge. |

What? No it didn't. It just said that dead dude was delivering a package with photos of dug-up graves and a purchase order for a plane. Nowhere did it say that Widmore was on the purchase order. Why would corpse have to deliver the purchase order to the guy who filled it out?
Likelier that Ben purchased the plane, corpse gets the evidence, tries to deliver it to Widmore, gets killed by Ben's men, Ben steals the package (and later uses it as 'evidence' to convince Locke that Widmore's men are evil) and body gets delivered to Miles. Or, your way. But we still don't have confirmation on anything. We now know Naomi knew about the purchase order for the plane, and dead bodies, and proceeded to lie to the the losties about 815 being found and everyone being dead. She knew it was staged and played up the lie for her employer. |

Someone edited The Empire Strikes Back wiki page accordingly. Look at the first paragraph.

Loved the episode. I like Miles and it was nice to get some more of his backstory (as well as confirmation that Dr. Chang is indeed his father).

Have we seen the dad that Miles gave the fake reading for? He looked familiar to me, was that story on before just told at a different angle or something?

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
I thought this episode clearly pointed out that widmore was behind the fake wreckage. then he had the guy killed to cover his tracks like any good mastermind would. finally, we see dharma/hanso faction enter the fray. took them long enough. i had a feeling they weren't widmore's people since widmore usually hires tough looking mercenaries. obviously dr. chang loved baby miles and probably pushed miles and his mom away because of events that are going to happen on the island. I hope miles tells him everything. i thought this was a great episode and answered quite a few questions.

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
The Others killed the guy, not Widmore, hence Tom having the pictures and paperwork in S4.
Naomi already knew his name, how he died, and what he was carrying. How else would she have known if Miles passed the ghost test? |

Do people not pay attention to the show, or are they really that stupid? |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Why do people have to come off as such douche bags with completely hostile and unnecessary posts? It's just a friendly discussion. Does it boost your self-esteem to try and tear down others?

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Oh. I've stated this before, but I still maintain this theory. I think Miles isn't really communicating with dead people. What he is doing is communicating with dead people in the past, prior to their death.
If the dead neighbor was complaining about chest pains and calling out for a dead wife, these are things that a dying, yet still alive, man would do. Not a dead man. I also think this explains things like the changing pictures. If he is communicating with people in the past, he might be able to alter things slightly, like the pictures. Hurley, I think, actually is communicating with dead people. That's why the way it works differently for him. |

Good episode but not great. |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Sometimes it takes another viewing to catch all the information that is thrown at you. After just seeing it a second time, here's what I saw and heard.
When Miles gets to Horace he's on the phone and the end of the conversation is something like, "so you think it was caused by the electromagnetism, then?" That's a pretty clear indication along with Miles' rundown from the corpse of what happened. Another thing I thought was interesting. The Orchid site is looking to be a rather large above-ground structure but from what we've seen of it in the future it is only a partial structure with most of it under ground. I guess maybe the incident occurs here and causes most of the building to fall. Pierre probably gets his arm crushed as well (since he has a fake one in the films). I think I know why and where Daniel went. When they were placing people in Dharma jobs, he was best suited for the home office in Ann Arbor since he is a scientist. He has been doing research there ever since and now he's needed on the island, probably for The Orchid. Also liked how the microwave in the beginning of the episode displayed 3:16 (as in Flight 316). :D |

After what we have seen from this season, this video can be watched in a whole new light.

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
they have to end next season and the series with george lucas finding hurley's script. just a 30 second guest appearance. he looks at it and grins. perfect end to a great show.

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
For a guy who's seen TESB "200 times" you'd think Hurley would have gotten the order of Luke's hand getting cut off and the Vader reveal correct.

I'm not sure that was Miles. Sorta sounded like Farraday to me.

i think it was Miles on the first parts, but then at the end sounded like Faraday was there
