I may be missing something, was the dead guy during Miles audition working for Widmore? So Widmore was behind the fake wreckage?

Also loved that they cleared up the fake 815 wreckage issue as well as why Miles asked Ben for 3.2 million dollars.
they felt the need to reinforce it later on in the show btw, i didn't recognize either of the writers names of this episode |

they touched on this before this season (Tom showed Michael the docs back in NY) |

Yipes, easy there. I said I may be missing something. I thought it was still up in the air between who it was.

step up your Lost game

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
This was kind of a let down if you ask me. It kept the story moving, but that seemed to be the entire purpose.

Obviously, they are in 1977, so the latest rage in Dharmaville is this new Star Wars movie released in the main land.
The rest of the episode revolves around Miles and Hurley spoiling everyone on who Luke's father and sister are, and then writing a script entitled 'The Empire Strikes Back' and sending it to George Lucas with a note attached pleading for Irvin Kershner to direct it .... Whatever Happened, Happened. :) Good call. Well, mostly. |

Actually, we didn't know for sure it was Widmore. It could have been Linus.
This episode confimed it was Widmore. Likelier that Ben purchased the plane, corpse gets the evidence, tries to deliver it to Widmore, gets killed by Ben's men, Ben steals the package (and later uses it as 'evidence' to convince Locke that Widmore's men are evil) and body gets delivered to Miles. Or, your way. But we still don't have confirmation on anything. |

TESB stuff and end reveal were good.
My favorite lines: Her heart was in the right place. Where was her head? |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Isn't it weird how much Jack and Kate, moreso Jack, have taken a back seat the last few episodes? He's hardly done anything since getting back to the island.
Makes me think something big is going to happen with him to either close the season, or he'll have an important arc next season. It just seems like they're trying to get him off the viewer's minds and not shoving him down our throats, before throwing him back in our face. |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Did anyone get a good look at the Egyptian references written on the chalkboard during the scene with Jack and Ben's dad? There were a bunch of them, before Jack erased the board.

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
This is a very roundabout question and probably not good for the story, but why is sawyer and juliet so loyal to the dharma people. They are others and im sure richard would take them right in if they left dharma. I know its better for the story to have them switching sides later on but sawyer acts like he can not be exposed yet he has a fallback. and where was sayid when sawyer and kate went to the others. Whats he rooming the jungle?

Thanks for the screencaps. I thought I saw writing referring to "...god of..." something as well.

I wonder if Chang is using human corpses now as guinea pigs in his time travel experiments. Something is gonna happen soon to trigger this incident to occur (probably caused by one of the O6) and then Pierre will have to leave his happy home and perhaps stay in the Orchid station while his wife and kid leave the island.
But I wouldn't want to speculate... Spoiler:

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Enjoyable episode. It really seem like the O6 are the cause of the incident. And it's probably Super Kate being Dumb Kate.

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
I, personally, prefer to think of the title as:
Some Like I Thoth. Thoth was, of course, one of the more powerful Egyptian gods. Chiefly, he was a force of balance, making sure that neither good nor evil became too powerful over one another. |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Have we seen the dad that Miles gave the fake reading for? He looked familiar to me, was that story on before just told at a different angle or something?
|
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
kinda a meh episode. miles cant carry a whole episode.

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
I think Hurley, Charlie & Miles could spin-off into a sitcom. :)
Hurley: Dude. Charlie: Brilliant! Miles: You're an idiot. |
