I'm just glad Farraday finally took his tie off.

One thing worth noting on the food drops is that they were for the Swan station, which has now been established to be located in "hostile" territory. It might have been the easiest way to have food delivered.
They originally had tunnels connecting all of the hatches so they wouldn't have to surface except for the food drops. |

About the barracks, here's a pic showing the fence around it.
Spoiler:
No Dharma stations within the fence. I was also thinking that this list from Jacob probably stemmed from what they did in 1977 during their Dharma days and maybe even in relation to the incident. Hugo was there but he was sent home because he was only the chef. The others there, Jack, Kate & James, were troublemakers. http://gallery.lost-media.com/albums...minutes657.jpg |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Jack wasn't even on Jacob's list.

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
The list given to Michael was explained by the producers already. Ben needed Jack for the surgery, used Kate and Sawyer to convince him, and used Hurley, to send a message back to the camp.
The show has already made a point of showing how "Jacob" is thrown out a lot when in fact an individual character, mainly Ben, is doing something in their own interest. Given Ben's cancer and Jacob's new interest in Locke, it's safe to say Jacob's List may have been made up by Ben all along. I also remember the theories/rumors on the stations being connected, but nothing has shown us that on the show. The Cerberus vents on the hatch door have been proven to be how the monster roams around, and some of them have been blocked according to the blast door map. As early as season one we see the monster push tress up from underneath the ground. This is how it travels. On the blast door map, several cryptic notations describe a "Cerberus system" along with four instances of the initials "CV". The producers of the show confirmed at Comic-Con 2007 that Radzinsky and Kelvin used the term "Cerberus" to refer to the Monster and that "CV" stands for "Cerberus Vents". The Official Jigsaw Puzzles also revealed that the "CV" notations on the blast door map stand for "Cerberus Vent". It is assumed that the "vents" Radzinsky and Kelvin were referring to are underground passageways used by the Monster, such as the hole that Locke was nearly pulled into. ("Exodus, Part 2") I had a theory a few weeks ago that I havn't fleshed out much, but it revolved around Radzinksy. There are a lot of clues here but something inlvolving the entire Radzinsky/Hatch story is really bugging me. I just can't piece this together. A. Radzinksy really wanted Sayid dead when he saw the Swan model. He'll supervise the construction and eventually die in the hatch as well. We really don't know for sure if he shot himself or if Kelvin lied and killed him. B. After the purge, Ben and the Others have access to the Pearl station, and can monitor the Swan, but allow Radzinksy and Kelvin to stay down there and live. The Others make no known attempts at taking it over. C. In season 2, Tom tells Jack and Locke they have no business opening doors to hatches that don't belong to them. An odd statement given the hatch was built by Dharma and point B given above. The Others took over all of Dharma's building except the Swan, or did they? D. Radzinsky editing the film and moving it to the other side of the island is really suspect. Why not just destroy it? Why risk traveling to the Arrow when he knows the Hostiles are out there? BTW, He removes the part about not using the computer to contact the outside world. So Radzinksy wanted someone to use the computer? This eventually helps Ben out when Michael used the computer. |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
The first segment of the clip show clearly stated Widmore was behind the fake plane crash, but the second segment stated Ben 'claimed' to Sayid that Widmore had Nadia killed.

who is narrating the "special episode" tonight? i know i know him...
nevermind, as i thought, it is Nestor Carbonell! |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
No clue, but this episode reminded me of something I had completely forgotten. They never actually showed us what was in that box Ben was hiding in the air vent of the hotel room.

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
When Hurley says, "they're building our hatch," then Miles says, "what hatch?" How come Miles doesn't remember seeing the hatch when they were time flashing? They saw it both before it was dug up and after it imploded. Juliet also gave a detailed description of what Desmond did down there. Sure, that was three years ago but come on.
Going back to the picture frame scene that changed when Miles came down from upstairs. If Miles' power can change things then maybe that's the key to stopping the purge from happening. He just needs to find a way to control or harness it. Maybe his Dad can help him with that. If that ComicCon video was being sent out live through a stringhole across time then maybe it was intercepted by someone from Dharma and that's why they are regrouping and coming back to the island. |

Claire's mom looked quiet a bit different between Jack's dad's funeral and when she got Aaron.

On your first point, I've noticed that when they started to speed things up, from the short S4 up until now, they've been throwing exposition reminders out though the characters a lot more. They actually mentioned they were doing this quite often now in one of the last few podcasts. Yea, it dumbs characters down but what can you do. |

This map shows subterranean escape conduits that were blocked after the incident. |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Ok, I see what you are talking about now with the map. My bad. As for the information, I don't think we've ever found out how they actually got it all. How they found out Sawyer killed someone before getting on the plane is still a mystery.
What doesn't make sense is Radzinsky working at The Flame, supervising the construction of The Swan, living in the Barracks, and eventually traveling to The Arrow with the film edits ... 1. How does Radzinsky not know where the conduit would go? I notice the little question mark above The Swan station's conduit. 2. All of the conduit is headed in-land toward the middle circle. Wasn't that the question mark that turned out to be the Pearl? We can pencil in The Orchid and The Tempest somewhere on the map also, though I'm not sure if The Orchid will fall in this map or not. I still think we will see 1-2 more stations. Also, notice what it states under The Swan. P.R.D. every 6-8 months: Fatalities 5 I remember reading comments when this first showed up online that P.R.D. = Periodic Resupply Drops. (Food drops) |
