Re: Breaking Bad - Season 2 Discussion

Maybe it's me, but Krysten Ritter (Jane, the neighbor/landlord) is filling out since her Gilmore Girls days, and the weight looks good on her.

Overall, very entertaining episode, plus interjecting a lawyer into the mix opens up more dramedy.

"I'm not Vito Corleone"

"No shit, right now you're Fredo"

The opening with Badger was great. Really like the addition of Saul.

One question was answered now that we know the cops know that it was the skank that dropped the ATM on the other junkie.

Am I crazy or did Saul tell Badger to make his check out to "Ice Station Zebra Associates." Because that was awesome.

Bob Odenkirk is a great addition to the show.

I like the addition of Saul - it helps put the drug business on the fast track.

Great episode - because it was not dragged down with Skylar and Walt's home life scenes.

Re: Breaking Bad - Season 2 Discussion

that opening might have been one of the funniest things i've seen in a long, long time.

awesome episode. you could see walt questioning the situation at the end, there. he knows something doesn't add up.

I'm mixed on Saul. I love Odenkirk, and I think this show needs to bring back some of the comedy that was present in the first season, but Saul might be over the top.

I loved that Fredo line.

I'm digging the lawyer, he will make things happen. It's cool. He delivers the lines so deadpan, like 'the offer was kind of low' when he's on his knees at the grave.

What a great opener, That park where that bench sits is just up the street from the Zoo near Old Town.

Another great episode.

Re: Breaking Bad - Season 2 Discussion

This episode went for the funny.

When Jessie was trying to get back into the car with Walt during the bust; I thought for sure Walt was going to yell "....wait. Just...just...let go of the handle!." I laughed.

Re: Breaking Bad - Season 2 Discussion

I wonder if Odenkirk got to write his own lines, or just mostly ad-libbed them. Every scene he was in could have been a skit from Bob & David.

Couldn't agree with you more. I liked season 1, but it just didn't have that "must watch" thing for me. But now I can't wait for each new episode, although I do save it for last on my dvr (I always do this with my favorite shows...save the best for last).

The scene on the bench (towards the end) was amazing. It gave me knots in my stomach while watching...I can't say that about too many shows.

Anyone else getting a "Pine Barrens" vibe from this episode? I'm loving it so far.

"Smoking marijuana, eating Cheetos, and masturbating to not constitute plans in my book."

lmao

Another great episode. This show has such a strong cast and stellar writing. I feel bad the way Walt treats Jesse sometimes though; the kid makes a simple mistake and Walt just tears him to pieces every time.

I kinda figured though that the news from the scan would be good; should be interesting to see where they go from here.

Re: Breaking Bad - Season 2 Discussion

Yeah, I figured it was going to be a different person's scan was how they would explain it.

Bryan Cranston should be a repeat Emmy winner this year just for the looks he gives Jesse when he does something stupid.

4 more episodes this season

Re: Breaking Bad - Season 2 Discussion

I just wanted to say this has got to be one of if not the best shows on TV right now. I have watched it from the first ep and it keeps getting better. Lost and Breaking Bad are the shows I look forward to the most everyweek!!!

Re: Breaking Bad - Season 2 Discussion

I cried when they read the scan results. I'm not sure I'd cry if they read MY results... This show is something else. Bravo.
