I had small hopes it would return -- still disappointed to hear it's official.

I updated the thread title to reflect the news.

Sad we won't see how the story ends.

I'm really ticked off FX won't be bringing this back. The season slowly picked up steam as it progressed. The last episode was a great cliffhanger and it would have been interesting to see Izzard's character take on the "leader" of the travellers who just got out of jail. Dale just wasn't very challenging as a nemesis.

I think the writers would have been able to do a great job of alluding to the current economic mess we're in during the third season. The Malloys and all their talk of the American dream and reaching for the brass ring seem to be reflect the same reality or worldview as US financial institutions.

the show hustle on bbc is decent. if you are looking to fill your need for a con man/grifter show then check it out. it can be a bit cheesy but overall its good. ive only seen the first season so i cant speak for the other 2 or 3 seasons. im pretty sure its available on dvd too. it doesnt have much of a continuing story line either...so you wont get burned if its canceled. they just pull off different cons each episode.

also i thought th riches was a great show and was really waiting for it to come back. there were a few slow eps last season but it really did pick up towards the end. oh well at least i have breaking bad to look forward too.

You can also look forward to "Leverage" on tnt in december. It's about "the con", the pilot was awesome. Another great show down the drain without a conclusion! I expected more from FX.

This is awful. I was geniunely interested in what happened to the characters. They should at the very least write a book and let us know.

I think canceled shows like this should at least get one more 2 hour episode to wrap everything up the best they can.

I don't have FX so I haven't seen season two yet, but I enjoyed the heck out of season 1 on DVD.

Always liked it, though I didn't love it. I do love Eddie Izzard's work though, and hope he get's into something else very, very soon.
