Just saw this episode, and am hugely disappointed that Gene is gone. He was the reason that I was watching the show. I've always been a Kiss fan, but not a big fan of his, until I started watching Family Jewels.

No Gene = no more viewing for me. He was my reason for tuning in. I admire his conviction, but he should have put that bitch on the chopping block and stayed on. He knew what was coming and didn't seem to care. You gotta love the guy. Alec also had some great lines. Pretty good for the final episode I'm going to see.

With Gene gone, we now have a chance to see some of the other players. It still could get entertaining as the fight for survival heats up. I'm waiting for Lennox to get riled up over something.

It was abundantly clear to me by who Gene invited back into the boardroom that he wanted out, which kind of sucks. If he didn't want to do the show, then he shouldn't have signed up in the first place. Once you start something, you should stick with it. I agree with others that my interest in this show has taken a big hit. Given the braintrust we're left with, I think you are going to see the tasks become more and more ridiculously simple and infantile.

BTW, if they wanted to go with tough guys being knocked out for Kodak, they should have thrown Trace in there with Lennox and Tito. Not only is he big (6"6), but:
He's also talked about being stabbed and beaten half to death during his drinking days when he was playing barrooms. He was on Craig Ferguson last week, and he was a great guest.
- In 1994 his second wife shot him through his lungs and heart during a domestic dispute.
- Broke both his arms, a leg and a handful of ribs and cut his nose off in a car crash
- Had to have his finger reattached when he sliced it off with a knife, and got the doctors to attach it in a way so that he could still play guitar
- Sustained a crush injury to his chest and a rib-sternum separation when he was pinned under a tractor

Gene's a genius. Being a "rebellious rock star who does things his own way", he refused to cater to the "corporate suits" by even showing up to their meetings. By taking full responsibility for his way of doing things and sabataging himself, he verified that image in more ways than one.
Gene was in this show for himself. And it worked.

Sorry to see Jennie go. She never really had a chance on that show though; she's too low key.
It appears that even w/o Gene Simmons the guys still have a sizable advantage in star power and connections. Curious to see or rather hear about Richard Branson on the show since he had one of the Apprentice knockoffs.

One of the worst attempts ever for a joke...especially when there is not one there.

Jennie was looking damn good. She had to go though. This was a lame project since it came down to call-your-deep-pocket-friends.
If you think Jennie is tall, you should watch college softball. There are some really tall pitchers. When the Olympics roll around in the summer, check out Cat Osterman. She's 6'3".

IMDB has a photo of Jennie standing next to Danica Patrick, and Danica literally looks like a worker at Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

I don't understand how Omarosa manages to survive. She is not a team player and is never shown contributing to tasks, yet this hasn't yet worked against her in the boardroom. Furthermore, she has no real business accomplishments she can cling to. She hasn't exactly become a success at anything since she first appeared on season 1.

I agree I don't see why Omarosa is even on the show, she's not a celebrity. Plus who does she have for big pocket friends etc.
It makes me mad cause she clearly will kept around because she causes fights, it would have been nice to see Jennie at least have a turn as project mgr, same with the playmate kicked off a long time ago.
Is it me or does next week's episode look really really staged, not that I think there is much going on real in the first place.

One of the big problems on this show every season is that as executive producer, Trump is obliged to keep people on who make for interesting TV and as host, it's his job to pick who stays and who goes, supposedly based on merit. Those two jobs run counter to each other. On all other reality competition shows popular contestants may be eliminated early to the dismay of the producers, but here the producer gets to make the call.
Anyway, it's still a little fun to watch. Next week's episode (which has been hyped and spoilered since the first episode this season) looks pretty funny.
