Celebrity Apprentice---Series Discussion--Thursday's on NBC

Sounds God awful, but I may have to check this out just to see how bad it's going to be. I read in TV Guide that Trump agreed to do 2 seasons of this incarnation.

Series Premiere 1/3/08

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

The seventh season of Donald Trump's unscripted competition series features business-themed battles with 14 savvy celebrities, including country artist Trace Adkins; rocker Gene Simmons; actors Stephen Baldwin and Marilu Henner; model-actress Carol Alt; boxer Lennox Lewis; and reality figures Omarosa and Piers Morgan. First up: They choose team captains and are challenged to sell hot dogs.

I have watched and enjoyed every season of the Apprentice so far, but this one just looks pathetic.

I haven't watched since I think S2, but there are enough people I like (or really hate) in this one to make me tune in for at least the first few eps (Simmons, Lewis...Ortiz, Baldwin).

Damn, that was some expensive hot dogs and water for the first task. The money raised was ridiculous, but that's celebrity for ya.

Omarosa is still slinging mud in the boardroom. She's earning her spot on the roster through her sheer condenscending ways. Carol Alt still looks pretty good.

Fucking Omyass is as annoying as ever. How the fuck did she get celebrity status? "Oh we don't want to use the celebrity status, we want to sell the hotdogs as a brand". Please.

I thought it was funny, all these third-rate celebrities asking "Who is Omarosa?"

Hello, pot, meet kettle.

Getting rid of the hottest piece of ass on the first show out of the gate. . . that's a sure-fire way to get me to tune in.

I enjoyed it, but I'm a sucker for The Apprentice, so I have no complaints. Can't believe they got rid of Tiffany though. She's too cute to be treated like that. I wouldn't want Omarosa treating her like that for another episode. Maybe next episode, Trump will figure it out and bring her back and say that was just a lesson for everyone not to get fired.

Turns out Tiffany was newly pregnant at the start of filming. That would explain why she didn't put up much of a fight.

I think we're stuck with Omarosa. The Apprentice made her a pseudo celebrity and she's a symbol for the show; she's a walking ego boost to Trump.

I loved it when they went to the shots of Don Jr. and Ivanka looking like they were extremely uncomfortable and awkward at the mention that their dad's been around a lot of playmates in his time.

Are the assignments this season going to mean anything? Are we going to have to see the celebs come up with a product, market it, come up with promotional spin for it? Design an ad campaign for a company? Run an event?

Probably not.

I fear it's a full season of "call your contacts for donations."

If I was on the girls team, I would have just followed Omarosa's directions to a T, just to make sure she got the boot. Focus on the product, not the celebrity, what an idiot..

I knew Tiffany was screwed, but it wasn't really fair. Marilyu started calling people mid-way through the challenge. How was Trump expecting Hugh Heffner to magically appear in NYC from LA in 30 minutes??

I'm afraid of the same. The show is going to be about how Trump and the celebs interact rather than it's original premise. I don't watch shows like Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight and I'm not about to start.

I am on until Lennox is off. Omarosa is just brutal. She is the female version of Puck and makes you not want to watch the show.

I've never heard of any of the female "celebrities" except Omarosa. Basically the women will drop like flies until there's a merge or team switch. Whoever has the richest friends wins!
