Yeah, I hope all the people moaning about Sabrina being gone were sending in votes for her Monday night.

Do the fans always smoke CRACK when they are voting? This show is just plain stupid now. They let the fans vote count too damn much, I say let the real judges have 75% of the vote and the fans 25%, then the stupid votes mean nothing. This is the last season for me, the good ones never get to stay, they reward the horrible dancers every week. How can Marie Osmond still be on? Sympathy vote? No doubt about it.

Please stop the references to Melinda Doolittle. Although she sang well, she really is the furthest thing from an "American Idol" (read: not much in the looks and charisma depts.) Sabrina, on the other hand, was expected by most to make the final, if not win it all. From now on use "Tamyra Grayed".

I think the reason this happens is because fans get lazy in voting when someone gets nonstop praise, because they just assume that person is safe. The truth is I've never quite thought she was *quite* as amazing as everyone thought she was, at least not as good as Drew, Stacy, Mario, or others from past years that got similar high praise early on. But she was far from the worst and had a lot more to offer.

1) Seriously. Don't complain about the voting only when it eliminated YOUR favorite dancer. We certainly didn't hear any of this when any other star was eliminated this season.
2) Some people have been have been saying they couldn't get their votes in. Okay these are the ways to vote:
- Phone: The most unreliable way since phone lines are easily tied up and you can only vote this way for 30 minutes after the show.
- Text Messaging: Only AT&T customers can text, which is a bummer, but probably the easiest way if you aren't afraid to pay to send a text message or already have a plan that allows a certain amount of text messages a month.
- Internet: This is probably the best way because you can vote until noon Eastern time the next day.
3) Some people said they couldn't even vote online and something was tied up. I guess they didn't realize you could vote online until the next day noontime.
4) This is how the voting is tallied per the ABC website:
A percentage share of the celebrity points are added to a percent share of the votes the celebrity received equals to the total score.
This week 180 total points were given out and here are the percentage shares of each of the celebrities:
Mel B. - 30/180 = 16.67%
Helio - 28/180 = 15.55%
Jennie - 27/180 = 15.00%
Cameron - 25/180 = 13.89%
Sabrina - 25/180 = 13.89%
Marie - 23/180 = 12.78%
Jane - 22/180 = 12.22%
Seems a LOT closer as a percentage doesn't it? Now let me give a hypothetical voting percentage that would have had the same outcome this week:
Mel B. - 15%
Helio - 13%
Jennie - 13%
Cameron - 14%
Sabrina - 13%
Marie - 16%
Jane - 16%
Adding them together:
Mel B. - 16.67% + 15% = 31.67%
Helio - 15.55% + 13% = 28.55%
Jennie - 15% + 13% = 28%
Cameron - 13.89% + 14% = 27.89%
Sabrina - 13.89% + 13 = 26.89%
Marie - 12.78% + 16 = 28.78%
Jane - 12.22% + 16 = 28.22%
A situation like that could have easily eliminated Sabrina. And you notice her hypothetical voting percentage was within 3 percentage points of the highest vote getter.
So, my guess is that Sabrina wasn't getting all that many votes as one would think. Just enough to stay out of the bottom two. And some of her voters got into thinking that they didn't have to vote for her.
Also, 25 was her worst score ever and she was 2-points or more from the top scores, which obviously can prove deadly. She might have advanced if she got the normal 27-30 points.
We also now know that Cameron has a pretty good fan base. If he improves even more, he will be a serious contender. Obviously, Marie and Jane have HUGE fan bases. And in my estimations, mostly women watch this show and love hunky men and will keep them on as long as possible.
So, even IF the votes have been the same for the past 5 weeks, the JUDGES score may have hurt Sabrina the worst. So, I wouldn't totally blame the voting.
5) Anyone who has deluded themselves into thinking that this ISN'T a popularity contest probably shouldn't watch anymore. This really isn't all that different from "American Idol." Hugely talented people get voted off.

Now I find out that we are being deprived of 2 Sabrina dances! Seriously, it is lacking without her energy!
Maries first dance was surprisingly good. Donny needs to stop trying to sneek in camera time. It's getting annoying. And he almost knocked her on her butt again.
Tom Bergeron is a great host. I'm starting to believe Mel has it bad for him. SHe wont leave him alone.
I loved Jennie and Derek's Waltz....my fav dance so far, until Max & Mel's sexy paso double.
Jane has played the dead mother, the house burning down, the food poisoning, and the Johnny Cash cards. Enough!
Loved the shout out to Sabrina with the Cheetah paw tatoos!

Now we know why the chemistry was so great! Seems the Cheetah girl was purring for her dance partner!

Re: Donnie. God, I know. How embarrassing. What a ham. Has he done this before? What do you bet he's a contestant next season. I just hate it was has been C listers do anything they can to get in front of a camera. I've always been indifferent towards Marie prior to this show. But I really really like her more now. She just seems very sweet and genuine to me. And the rest of the people on the show clearly like her.
Re: Jane. Was thinking the same thing. She seems like such a fake bitch to me.

Clearly Jane's an awful person. First she had her mother killed, then she started the wildfires, and then she poisoned herself. That's diabolical commitment right there.
Sad to hear about Marie's father.

Totally underwhelmed with most of the dances...I enjoyed Max and Mel, like I do every week, Helio and Julianne had a good tango, but I didnt like the quick step. Makes me miss Sabrina even more!

I have to agree. Jennie, Marie, and Cameron were awful. The scores were way too high; these dances wouldn't even get sixes on the British version. The judges were way too easy on Helio and Julianne, and I knew the judges wouldn't allow Mel and Max to be number one again.

And so end The Reign Of The Superman...
What was up with Mel? She looked like she was on the verge of a breakdown. At first I though someone let it slip she was out until I saw she was safe. And still she was barely holding back the waterworks.
Also, before Mel got extremely sad, there was a moment early on when all the celebs (especially Mel) got real upset. What happened tonight?

I like it!
