Definitely different

My favorite dance of the night was actually Helio and Juliannes first dance(jive?) despite what the judges said.I guess i didnt notice the bad footwork.

None of the freestyle dances really blew me away.

That freestyle was a train wreck and not even in a good, stop the car kind of way. What was Jonathan Roberts thinking? None of the freestyle dances were very good, but this was just painful. If she wins with this, the show will be the biggest joke (to those who actually enjoy it). It's already a big joke to those who don't watch.

Nobody was impressive and I echo the sentiments of the crapfest that was Marie's freestyle.

I actually enjoyed Marie's non-dance freestyle.

However, Helio's was an absolute mess except for the very end. I think the judges only paid attention to the final third of that freestyle given how much praise they heaped upon him. His and Julianne's first dance was far better.

I liked Mel and Max's freestyle the best.

I liked Mel too, hope she wins.

It's weird, but I haven't had the urge to watch the last 3 weeks of DwtS (still on my DVR), and I think it was due to Marie's continued presence in the competition, plus her brother Donny mugging for the cameras and getting a guest stint on Entertainment Tonight that just turned me off of the show this season. If Marie wins, I think I won't be back for the next round of DwtS in 2008.

This was the worst finals EVER. I don't care who wins as long as it's not Marie...

Mel & Max's freestyle sucked. The judges knew it but still gave them a 27.
They want Mel & max to win.

Compare that to Helio & Julianne's freestyle which was much better and much much harder. They got 29.

Carrie Ann gave M & M a 9 and also gave H & J a 9.
Len gave M & M a 9 but only gave H & J a 10 (after saying H & J freestyle was the best freestyle of the night by far !)
Bruno gave M & M a 9 and gave H & J a 10.

Marie's freestyle was painful to watch.
There's no way she is winning.

I think Helio & Julianne will win.
I think they have been at the top of the fan's scoring but they have been made to look like they are in the bottom 2 for the past 2 or 3 weeks.
Did you notice they have never been revealed to be safe right away for the past 3 weeks ?
Last week they and Jenny & Derek were the last 2 couples.

I've been turned off by the blatent scoring on a curve this season. I simply think back to much better teams that have lost in previous seasons: namely Mario/Karina and Stacy/Tony (Joey/Kym to a lesser extent) and think how it is a shame they aren't on this edition.

I thought Mel & Max's freestyle had some cool moves, but it just lacked that sense of fun we've come to expect from the freestyle round. A bit too much watered-down hip hop stuff for me.

Marie and Jonathan... sheesh. In the beginning I thought they might have had a cool idea with the doll theme, as I figured they would start with it for ten seconds or so, then kick into real dancing (similar to some So You Think You Can Dance routines I've seen). But it just was Jonathan throwing her around with an occasional goofy move by Marie.

Helio and Julianne I thought had the best FS of the night, but it still wasn't as good as it could have been. At least it was fun and had some cool moves, it just missed the mark slightly.

I think Marie cared more about plugging her doll dresses than dancing a good freestyle.

Yeah, and I thought her audience butt-kissing was the most shameless I've ever seen on the show, especially once she realized her judges' scores would be so low.

I'm really pulling for Mel and Max, but I think they held back last night.

I like Helio but I think he is more charming than a great dancer. Julianne steals the limelight when they dance, it's hard to just watch him.

Marie gave up last night, and while rewatching it, she actually fell on her last lift. It was a horrible dance with horrible choreography.

Marie must have thought she was in a Wade Robson routine on So You Think You Can Dance.

Julianne really should avoided choreographing any moves that required Helio to wave his hands. It only made him look like a dork. Everytime I saw that, I cringed.

I agree. I think Julienne's numbers with Helio this year have bordered on cheesy. I wished they danced that whole number in the race car get up, when he ripped it off I was like, What the hell does he have on? Pure Cheese. I think Mel and Max have been a lot classier and certainly a lot sexier!

I think Helio is the odd-on favorite to win. I think he deserves to win. If he doesn't then it has to be Mel B.

Lackluster finale dances. Max should have come up with something with a lot more interesting chereography. He didn't seem to incorporate any of the moves from the hip hop dancers. Same for the other dance. And it was really dumb for Marie to stay in character for the whole routine. You don't prove to people you can dance by dancing stiff. Pander to your fans, I guess. Overall, I don't think the male pros are very good at chereography. I agree about Helio's first dance being the best of the night. But I didn't see all the mistakes in his footwork either. Nice freestyle but not as good as his "Mask" dance routine.

Im still rooting for Julianne,errr....i mean Helio but im okay with Mel winning as long as its not Marie.If it is Marie then they better come up with a whole new system of voting cuz that makes the show look like a joke.

Yesterday, Maksim Chmerkovskiy told "Extra" that Marie Osmond doesn't deserve to be in the finals, insisting, "Frankly, I think there were a lot of other people better than Marie."

Now Marie is speaking out about Maks' harsh comments, telling "Extra" backstage after her "Dancing" performance last night, "I think ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ when I signed on for this, was about non-dancers becoming dancers. And it’s about improvement!”

The funniest part of this story was when Extra spoke to Maks on camera and asked him if he'd heard anything back about the comments he made about Marie. He sort of grinned at the camera and said, "I'm an asshole. But I already knew that."

Well, at least Marie got 3rd place.

To get a winner out of the last 2 pairs could have been a coin flip in terms of entertainment value, but am happy for the winners.

I was rooting for Mel to win, but I like Julianne so I am happy for her. Helio didn't do much for me, because I always just watched Julianne anyway (and I am a straight woman, lol). She is just so much fun to watch.

Thank goodness Marie was quickly eliminated. I bet Donnie will be on the next season, he seemed to really enjoy the limelight.

So will they ever do an "All-Stars" season of DWTS? (maybe call it an alumni season)

I'd like to see some of the good contenders who lost in previous seasons going against each other.

Helio winning makes up for Cheetah girl getting booted so early.

It was nice to see her come out and powerhouse another dance last night, it would have been nice to have seen her do her thing for the past month.
